I have used this little gem on a night photo-shoot and had pretty good results. The light can be a little harsh but if you use some kind of modifier to soften the light you can get some very nice results.
The weight was not a factor at all for me..I only used the light for a few hours and it didn't show any signs of going dead! Perfect for my uses.
