The ARRI CASTER Series offers an LED array with a unique optical design which yields high output combined with outstanding control options at an affordable price.
This Arri LoCaster LED Panel with Stirrup is designed for location use in video, film or TV production scenarios. Dimming function (0-100%) and color temperature control from 2800-6500K can be controlled independently with simple knobs on the body of the LED panel itself.
A 3/8" (9.5 mm) female thread permits mounting the luminaire to the included Arri Caster Stirrup which provides swiveling movement and a 5/8" (16mm) receiver in a yoke-like construction. Safety features include Auto Power Off to protect LEDs from heat due to overvoltage. Accessories include a 2-leaf barndoor, gel frame and a light intensifier that doubles the luminous output of the panel.
The LoCaster Power Supply (sold separately) accepts input voltages from 100-240VAC, 50/60Hz and outputs 24VDC. Extremely small and lightweight, it powers a single LoCaster panel. An optional NiMH Battery Pack is also available, providing 2 hours of DC power for a single LoCaster panel.

Comments about Arri LoCaster LED Panel with Stirrup:
I use this light mainly for interviews and stand-ups on location.
It has a unique ability to "dial-in" a wide range of color temp. and also green/magenta.
I have found that the CRI of 90 is pretty accurate, it does a good job keeping skintones vibrant.
The beam quality is very nice, and the barndoors are very effective at cutting the light, more so than LED-Panel type units. The intensifier accessory does double the light output and narrow the beam. It folds flat, but it is still larger than most of my travel cases and is hard to pack.
The output is good as a key for interior mixed-lighting situations, and using the intensifier it can be used as fill with daylight-interiors.
In conclusion, its great when used as a quick-setup key light, directly on a subject. I haven't made a direct comparison but I would say it is comparable to other 1x1 style lights in output- when you subtract any output lost to correction gels.
Also, its incredibly well made. Everything is tight and well finished, the knobs are safely recessed and have a lot of drag that allows for incredibly fine adjustments.
I have also been very happy with the performance of their service dept. in the past, and have no doubt they stand firmly behind the equipment they make.
