The Aspire AS5517-5997 Notebook Computer from Acer is a 15.6" notebook computer with a wide 16:9 aspect ratio display. An excellent all-around system, the computer is perfect for e-mail, school work, financial management, and entertainment. Its full-size keyboard makes the computer a joy to use.
The system is powered by a 1.6GHz AMD Athlon 64 TF-20 Single-Core CPU and boasts 3GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, and 802.11g Wi-Fi. Graphics are handled by the integrated ATI Radeon Xpress 1200 card, and Windows Vista Home Premium is installed as the operating system.

This laptop has a very big screen which is great for anyone who has a hard time with small print (small size, not disclaimers...). It is also easy to use, and not too heavy, but why do microsoft insist on vista???

Good laptop overall for the money. Acer continues to prove itself. The only thing different from many laptops is the 9-key numbers (like for accountants) added to the keyboard (just like a regular full-size keyboard). This is good, but does take getting use to for use on a laptop.
