The Rampage II Extreme Computer Motherboard from ASUS is a computer motherboard that supports Intel Socket 1366 CPUs and up to 24GB of DDR3 memory, up to 2000MHz in speed. Certified by the Republic of Gamers, the motherboard can act as the heart of any high-end computer gaming rig.

The motherboard boasts PCI Express 2.0 slots, dual Gigabit LAN ports, integrated audio, FireWire and USB peripheral ports, and an eSATA port. Integrated drive controllers support up to 7 internal SATA and 2 internal PATA drives.

Supports Intel LGA1366 CPUs, including Core i7 and Xeon models, which feature integrated support for 3-channel DDR3 memory, Intel QuickPath Interconnect system bus, and a maximum bandwidth of 25.6GB/sec
Uses the Intel X58 Express chipset, which is designed to support Core i7 CPUs and Intel's next-generation QuickPath Interconnect bus, which provides improved performance via serial point-to-point links, increasing bandwidth and stability. It supports up to 36 PCI Express 2.0 lanes for superior graphics performance
Supports PCI Express 2.0 expansion cards, which deliver twice the performance of standard PCI Express cards
Supports both nVIDIA SLI and ATI CrossFireX technologies, allowing you to install up to 3 graphics cards in your system, tripling the performance of a single card
Native support for triple-channel DDR3 1600MHz memory, which supports a faster data transfer rate and increased bandwidth when compared to slower memory, perfect for intense 3D graphics, multimedia, and other demanding applications. The motherboard also supports 1066MHz and 1333MHz memory
TweakIt is designed for those who want complete control over their computer. You'll be able to adjust overclocking settings, even when running benchmarks. A joystick-like control puts every overclocking option at your fingertips, allow you to optimize your system for the best game play
ProbeIt takes the guesswork out of locating your motherboard's measurement points, identifying them in the form of 8 sets of detection points, so that you can access them via a multitester
iROG is a special IC which handles several ROG highlighted functions, giving you the full disposal of the motherboard at any stage. This allows you to control and manage on a hardware level, perfect for overclocking and system maintenance
The Extreme Engine, featuring Multilayer type Polymer Capacitors (ML Caps), ensures a stable power supply during overvoltage, thanks to the lowering of Equivalent Series Resistance (ESR), thus keeping critical components reliable. This will allow you to overclock your CPU to the limit, achieving benchmark scores of which others can only dream
CPU Level Up allows you to select a clock speed you'd like to overclock to, letting the motherboard handle all settings necessary to achieve this clock speed
BIOS Flashback allows you to overclock your system with confidence, as it saves 2 versions of the BIOS simultaneously. One BIOS can be used for overclocking experimentation, while the second can be a "known good" version which you can restore from with ease
The Voltminder LED serves as a "tachometer red zone" for system voltage. It displays voltage status for CPU, NB, SB, and Memory in a color-coded fashion, giving you the tools to avoid damage to your computer from overclocking
Extreme Tweakers are available, allowing you to fine-tune your system for optimal performance. You can use these to adjust frequency, over-voltage options, or memory timing settings
Loadline Calibration allows you to maintain stable and optimal CPU voltage, even under heavy processing load, ideal for delivering ample voltage to your CPU during intense operations
COP EX allows overclockers to increase chipset voltages without overheating the system. It can be used to monitor and save an overheating GPU, giving you more freedom and less constraint when overclocking
SupremeFX X-Fi audio delivers high-definition audio experience, featuring unique innovations that allow gamers to more easily spot enemies in a 3D environment during game play. It even features a special tool to emphasize human voices in games, making cut scene dialogue more easy to understand
Audio noise filter detects repetitive and stationary noises, such as computer fans, air conditioners, and other background noises, eliminating them when recording using a microphone
An external LCD Poster displays critical POST (Power On Start Up) information in a friendly and flexible external display. The LCD detects system malfunctions and device failures, displaying information about any anomalies on the LCD during POST
An onboard switch allows you to fine-tune system performance without having to short pins or move jumpers
EL I/O is an impressive design feature that makes it easier to connect devices to the back of your computer. It features a light that illuminates your I/O panel, allowing you to see the ports in the back of your computer with clarity
Q-Fan Plus automatically detects temperature and adjusts fan speed, using a special temperature sensor cable to provide an accurate reading of the temperature of any device. When used with additional optional fans, Q-Fan can work with up to 3 devices of your choosing
The ASUS EPU-6 engine provides total system power savings, detecting current PC loadings and intelligently moderating power in real-time. It boasts auto phase switching for components, including the CPU, VGA card, memory, chipset, hard drives, and CPU cooler/system fans, automatically providing appropriate power to these parts of your computer
The ASUS Q-Connector makes it easy to connect or disconnect chassis front panel cables in a single step. The unique adapter eliminates the need to plug cables in individually, allowing for quick and accurate connection
Bundled 3DMark 06 Advanced Edition software is used by professionals to benchmark system performance. It includes tests for SM2.0 and HDR/SM3.0 Shader graphics, and takes multi-core CPUs into account when determining your system's score. It is designed for use with systems that support DirectX 9.0c
Includes Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal, helping to protect your system from viruses and malware using the renowned Kaspersky Anti-Virus engine
