The Garner DDR-1 Degauss - Destroy - Recycle Secure End-of-Lifecycle System is a safe way to destroy hard drives or tapes. The DDR-2 includes everything you need to completely erase and destroy sensitive media, including the SW-1 workstation, the HD-3WXL Degausser, and the PD-4 Physical Destroyer. The system also comes with color coded bins for the destruction process and a recycling bin. Meet compliance standards and ensure that sensitive data stays out of the wrong hands with this secure and efficient system.

Securely destroys data stored on hard drives or tapes, including 1.8, 2.5, and 3.5 inch hard drives and DLT, LTO, 3480, and QIC tapes
Components of the Secure End-of-Lifecycle System
The system includes a workstation cabinet, complete with tubular lock mechanisms and keys. It also features the HD-3WXL Degausser for erasing data and the PD-4 Physical Destroyer for completely destroying hard drives. In addition there are 2 color coded bins for various steps in the destruction process and a blue recycling can to dispose of destroyed media
Erasure & Destruction Steps of The System
  • Safely stores hard drives or tapes in a locked cabinet until processed by an authorized IT technician
  • Hard drives are completely erased by the HD-3WXL Degausser in about 6 seconds and automatically deposited into the yellow bin, ready for physical destruction. The data is unrecoverable after this step
  • Once degaussed, the hard drive can be physically destroyed and safely recycled
