The Benro A-258EX Tripod Legs are a sensible choice in a no-nonsense full size tripod for those just wanting good support and speedy use. This isn't a tripod for doing a lot of extremely-low-height shooting or pointing towards the ground or directly underneath the tripod; it is just a solid 4-section 'flip lock' aluminum model, with enough of the creature comforts to make a vacation a little more pleasant. The A-258EX's 28mm diameter upper leg segments and 'working height' of 56.5" mean that it comfortably supports heavy SLRs at a height that will meet the eye level of a 5'10" (178cm) shooter.
The A-258EX is officially rated to support 22 lbs (10kg), and Benro recommends it for SLRs with lenses of up to a 300mm focal length, including the largest 300mm f/2.8 class of extremely-bright telephoto.
The A-258EX's flip-lever leg locks are of the newest technology, and provide reliable and fast use with just a small motion necessary. Benro also has developed a rigid aluminum tubing that's just 1.2mm thick, which along with the extensive use of magnesium in the castings keeps the weight of this tall tripod to just 4.4 lbs (2kg).

I love my new tripod, and I've matched it with the Benro B-0 Head. It works great for wildlife photos. I've got some great pics of Eagles and Turkeys with it since purchase.
