A professional size 4-section carbon fiber model, the Benro MC-96EX Monopod can officially support gear of up to 44 lbs (20kg) and is right at home even with the very largest SLR cameras combined with huge telephoto lenses such as a 600mm f/4 lens. It has a foam-padded grip with a built-in wrist strap. Like any carbon fiber monopod, its capacity to absorb vibration is superior to an otherwise-identical aluminum version. And when fully extended, it should place the camera's viewfinder at or above the eye level of most users.
The MC-96EX's flip-lever leg locks are of the newest technology, and provide reliable and fast use with just a small motion necessary. Benro also has developed a "QIHM-8X" carbon fiber tube that's very thin and exclusively made from carbon fiber material. Along with extensive use of magnesium in the castings, it allows the MC-96EX to weigh just ~1¼ lbs. The camera screw is reversible for both 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 applications

Comments about Benro MC-96EX Carbon Fiber Monopod:
This was purchased to photo wildlife. The first week I took it on a trip to Rocky Mountain National Park. Were able to get many stable great shots of Elk zoomed in with a 300mm lense and 1.4X converter. Solid built, could carry camera attached, shorten up leg and move on for the next shot. Full length or short for low to the ground shots, it added the extra stability I was after.

Comments about Benro MC-96EX Carbon Fiber Monopod:
I probably would give this 5 stars if I had used it more. The monopod is very stable and easy to adjust the height. It works well for me.
If I had to find something wrong with the monopod it would be that the top end is fairly large in diameter. People with smaller hands could find this uncomfortable.
