This Gefen Fiber Optic HDMI Extreme Cable (100') is designed to connect digital audio/video sources such as computers and AV receivers to digital televisions, computer monitors, and professional digital audio/digital devices. The cable includes fiber-optic and electro-optical components built into the HDMI connector at the endpoints to ensure that all of the digital data reaches the system to give you the full benefit of digital technology--it supports a resolution of 1080p. DDC signals are built into the cable and the HDMI connectors. A single power supply is included for use on the display end of the cable in case the video source signal is too weak to power the entire extension distance. This cable is HDCP compliant and requires a conduit clearance of 1.42" (36 mm). The cable is not designed for permanent in-wall installation--use the optional Gefen HD 1000 Extender for permanent in-wall installation.
