BlackRapid CouplerR
The BlackRapid CoupleR (Black) is designed to 2 R-Straps into a 2 camera carry system. By coupling any two R-Straps in the back, and wearing them like a backpack, the cameras or lenses will hang vertically at the sides. The CouplerR is made of bomb-proof webbing with high strength elastic for automatic sizing.

I had recently come into possession of a second RS-4 strap. The makeshift system I had been using to carry two DSLR's was not the best so I thought I would try the CouplerR. It has exceeded my expectations. I don't think it is as comfortable as the double strap, but the flexibility it offers is excellent. I am going to look at adding a chest strap just for my comfort level.

I used this product to hold together an RS4 and an RS7 straps. The couplers both have clips on each end of the bands. One end clipped into the rs4 and the other end clipped into the rs7 . The second coupler sits a little lower than the other one. You can adjust the height to where you want them to sit. I used the straps this way for an event for 5-6 hours and they did not move or become unclipped they were so stable.

These straps are used to join two single straps so two cameras can be carried at the same time. I do not have the double strap unit, but this allows me to join my two single straps. It works, but I can see how the double strap unit might be better. When I have a little more cash on hand I will purchase the double unit. Until then this is functional.

I use these to make my 2 separate Black Rapid straps a single harness. I have the RS-5 & RS-7, and when I need 2 cameras I use these to link the 2 straps together. It makes it easy to have everything you need in you gear bag, because all the Black Rapid products fold up nice and small.

It would be rare when I would actually use 2 cameras to do my shooting. But when I do, I try to use this coupler and two Black Rapid RS-5 straps. It slows down the actual deployment of the cameras just a tad, and they seem to bounce a bit more when the straps are not worn like a messenger bag. Connecting the coupler like it shows on their website works ok.
But the better way to do it is to actually put one of the couplers all the way down to your bumpers on the RS-5. This pulls the bottom of the straps in and helps to tuck away the cameras. Once I did that, the straps felt way more comfortable and secure.
I think the couplers could have been a bit better. How, I don't know.
