Comments about PreSonus FireStudio Mobile - 10 x 6 FireWire Computer Audio Interface:
Upgraded from an Emu 0404 PCI card and the difference is night and day. Not only is the latency pretty much non existent but also the sound quality blows the EMU out of the water. Having it mobile between computers is also a huge plus.
I run Sonar X1 Pro on Win7x64 and although the software and hardware work very well together, there is an audio dropout every once in a while when trying to play back a project @ 96hz/24bits but it doesn't happen too often(could just be my buffer settings or my firewire card).I use it mainly to record myself singing and playing guitar and the results I've gotten so far are just fantastic.
The only reason why I didn't give it five stars is because when you turn on phantom power, it applies to both mic inputs so you can't run a dynamic mic alongside a condenser mic without an external preamp(and an available input from the back). This gets annoying when you're on a budget like me. I'd rather see the option of running phantom power on the inputs individually. Not that big of a deal though.
All in all it's a great little unit and I can't believe I waited so long to get one! Highly recommended!

Comments about PreSonus FireStudio Mobile - 10 x 6 FireWire Computer Audio Interface:
Having now gone through 2 Firebox units, both of which literally burnt up on me after three years in succession. I bought the FireStudio Mobile and I must say it is a huge improvement! The volume dials respond accurately and right away I noticed a difference with the upgraded pre amp, sounds are much more cleaner and richer. As a video editor I only require the unit for feeding my Yamaha studio monitors but it makes all the difference when you can hear theatrical quality sound minus the surround channels of course.
Greatly improved product PreSonus!!

Comments about PreSonus FireStudio Mobile - 10 x 6 FireWire Computer Audio Interface:
For a bit over a year I have been using Presonus's Firestudio Project, and just love it! My DAW is a Rain laptop, running Win7 and Cubase 6+. Some of my work is now recording large singing groups with my Rode NT4 mic. But I have been using my Marantz digital recorder to make life easier in the field. But now I really have what I need/want, a mini version of the Firestudio Project that will be the cat's meow in the field! So far no glitches EXCEPT one thing. My firewire card hates the win 7 driver. Yes I now use the legacy driver version, and all's well, but it was not easy as it should have been to find out about the legacy driver. This should be on a red tape, on the unit when easilly visable when first opening the box! Other than that, I know I will love this unit and the 0 latency software mixer. As my laptop and FW card
does not seem to supply enough juice, I have to use the wall wart power supply - wish I did not have to, but no problem. I love Presonus! And its a real steal! What is there not to like! Buuy it--Love it!

Right out of the box, the FireStudio Modible pre-amp helped us develop studio quality voice-overs for our on-line learning sessions. We were previously using a USB microphone straight into the PC. The difference using this pre-amp is night and day.

Comments about PreSonus FireStudio Mobile - 10 x 6 FireWire Computer Audio Interface:
I purchased this product to use to produce a radio program. It is a great audio interface, and the size and features are unavailable in any other interface around $250. The only con I have encountered is that using it with Audacity requires some extra setup. Otherwise, it is an excellent audio interface. I would suggest the FireStudio Mobile to anyone looking for a small, reasonable audio interface.

I use the FireStudio mobile with garageband and logic express and occasional voiceover work in final cut, and can't complain. Does what it claims to do. Solidly made, very useful.

This works really well with my MacBook, using the Firewire bus power and recording in Logic. It's very simple to get the device running, and the drivers seem very good - I've had no latency problems or anything, and the preamps sound pretty great.
Only thing is that I would have liked an AC adaptor included, but you can send away for a free one. It also gets quite warm if you leave it plugged in for a few hours!

Comments about PreSonus FireStudio Mobile - 10 x 6 FireWire Computer Audio Interface:
I have a new HP Win 7 64 bit PC. I installed the software from included DVD, and it was locking-up, freezing, pretty much non-functional. After an hour of frustration I checked FAQ on PreSonus website and fortunately found a solution. Apparently the software is not compatible with the new FireWire driver which comes with Win 7. You need to go to FireWire settings and select the legacy driver. Once I did this, everything worked fine. Excellent hardware and software, but PreSonus should stick a "READ ME FIRST!" in the box regarding this issue.

Easy to use once you get past the crazy stupid error laden password registration. I had to call Presonus to get a new activation code, but they walked me through the process. Presonus ROCKS! Studio One is the DAW everyone has been waiting for since the dawn of MIDI!
