The ARCHOS 3 Vision MP3 Player (8GB, Chocolate) is a stylish, yet economical way to carry your music, movies, photos and more everywhere you go. The player gives you 8GB of space, which translates into about 4,000 songs. And a single charge of the battery provides up to 14 hours of playback. Watch your videos, photos, and navigate through menus with ease thanks to the bright 3 inch LCD screen. The ARCHOS 3 Vision also features a built-in FM radio with 30 presets. I bought this for the FM transmitter. While it's not perfect, it does work. I have not used any other touch screen MP3 Player before but it met my expectations. Easy to add music too. I am concerned long term about it's support. Archos seems to prefer it's more expensive line. When looking for firmware updates the 3 Vision is not even listed.

I've had this product for about a month now and am extremely pleased. I am military and am deployed when my iPod battery finally gave out. I didn't want to spend the $ for an 8 GB Nana and bought the Archos vision 3 for about half the price. It has a crisp clear bright screen. I've read complaints about responce on the touch screen, but I am more than pleased with it. You don't want an overly sensitive touch screen. I've had them on PDA(s) and smart phones and overly sensive screens cause more problems than good. You do have to tap firmly, but is very responsive. The divice does have a scroll wheel hidden away on the bottom right of the screen. When you tap it, it illuminates, and you just circle around it like the iPod. The devise has all sorts of built in options that are nice to have: voice recording, FM radio, FM modulator, and easy drop and drag software for your music, movies, and pics. I have no software problems either and I use it back and forth between my 2 laptops (one with Vista, the other the new Win 7). It is very classy looking and small. Easily fits in my pocket with all of the other stuff I cram in there, plus a lock switch so it doesn't accidentally turn itself on. The screen does smudge up a bit, but easily wipes clean. Great battery life. The supplied ear buds aren't at all outstanding, but work well. I use my own preferred earbuds for running and keep the supplied ones for the office. My only complaint is I wish they'd make a 16 and 32 GB version. I also have an Archos 505 and it is amazing that they can shrink all the same functions in such a small device. I love it and will probably buy another for my wife.
