I bought these to replace the OEM pleather bads on my Sony MDR-V6's. The difference in comfort is unbelievable - I can't imagine going back to the pleathers. They are a bit expensive, but extra comfort is well worth it; plus they will last a lot longer than the OEM pads.
I also took it one step further by gutting my pleather pads and stuffing the padding in underneath the new ones. By doing this, it stiffened up the pads slightly and moved the drivers just a little bit away from my ears. In turn, it creates a better seal, more natural (and sliiiiightly louder) bass, more pronounced mids, and a larger more natural soundstage.
The great thing about these pads vs the more popular Beyerdynamic dt250 pads, is that these ones come with the extra material that covers the driver. I've read that the people that use the Beyerdynamic pads have to completely take apart the stock pads and tape the flap of material over the drivers before putting on the new pads - the Pearstones allow for a much more seamless install.
TL;DR, they are awesome.

These aren't easy to install, but after a few minutes or so it comes together. My only real gripe about these is that my Sony headphones have always had a great neutral sound field perfect for mixing. Very flat. These replacement pads are the more deluxe ones. They don't have that shiny material on them that seems to flake off over time. However, after I put them on and took a listen, the material they're made of over the ears adds much more bass (a much deeper sound) than the original ones. I'm hoping I'll get used to the sound. If not, I may look into other replacement pads.

Comments about Pearstone Deluxe Earpads (Pair):
I was tired of the original earpads on my Sony MDR-7506 headphones were shedding black faux leather pieces all over me so I sprung for these earpads and I'm very satisfied. They're soft and comfortable.

Comments about Pearstone Deluxe Earpads (Pair):
Used them to replace plastic covered foam earpads for Sony MDR V6 (the originals and replacements I purchased lasted under 2 years). These are cooler, and while I've only used them to mix 2 conferences, their construction leads me to believe they'll last longer than the plastic pads - those would sometimes come off the headphones and, also, began to desintegrate releasing small pieces of black plastic that stuck to my ears and face.

Much better than the stock earpads that came with my Audio Technica ATHM30 headphones. Very tight during installation but be careful and they will finally slip on. Once installed they are wonderful.

These are much more comfortable than the original ear pads, and they seem to grip to the MDR-7506 headphones better as well. Highly recommended.

Comments about Pearstone Deluxe Earpads (Pair):
I installed a set of Pearstone velour earpads on my Sony MDR V6 headphones and am completely satisfied with the results. They are significantly more comfortable then the original Sony plastic pads, and do at least as well at sealing out ambient noise. They take a little patience to install since the internal band is pretty tight, but once on, they stay-put.
The velour looks like it will hold up better than the very thin imitation leather that the Sony's were originally equipped with (which only lasted a few years before developing cracks and flaking off).
All in all, a very inexpensive way to prolong the life of some old phones.

Comments about Pearstone Deluxe Earpads (Pair):
I replaced the stock MDR-V6 earpads with these earpads, and the quality difference is amazing. The stock pads tore after a week, these have been solid. They're better at noise reduction than the old pads. However, they do get warm, so extended wear (4+ hours) can get a bit uncomfortable.

These are great replacements. They are comfortable and seem to do a better job at isolation from outside sound sources. They are fairly expensive is the only downfall. But I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

I installed these on my Sony MDR-7509HD headphones.
Although not designed for this model, it will work with some effort. It is a bit slow and definately requires two hands in total focus = place, pull, stretch = repeat until its on... then do the 2nd one.
The results are better than the original fake leather earpads that came on the MDR-7509HD.I can detect no adverse sonic qualities with these earpads.
After 2 weeks I am very pleased. Let's see if it makes it through a year!

Installed these on my tried and true Sony MDR-V6s. Very comfortable, soft feel. They really do enhance the bass. I went through three pairs of the Sony pads over the years. These Pearstones are vastly superior.

Comments about Pearstone Deluxe Earpads (Pair):
My headphones were purchased in 1989 or 1990 ish, the ear pads had long since flaked away and were an bad shape. These have always been top of the line headphones with a flat sound signature. The Pearstone appear to add a very slight hint of boost to the bass level of the sound signature. Nothing that anyone other than a serious audiophile would complain about. The rest of the spectrum appears unaffected. Comfort is first rate, and I suspect that these will last for some time. If you love your Sony MDR-V6 and want the comfort to return, seriously consider these puppies you won't regret it.

Comments about Pearstone Deluxe Earpads (Pair):
I've had two pairs of 7506s for about ten years...the original earpads 'let go' at the seams around the driver element a long time ago. I put off replacing them because the comments I've read regarding Sony's replacements suggest that they aren't any better.
Then I found these - I guess it's too early to see if they'll suffer the same seam-ripping fate, but they feel a lot heavier-duty and sure are more comfortable to wear!

Comments about Pearstone Deluxe Earpads (Pair):
I finally replaced the worn out stock ear pads from my Sony MDR-7506 headphones and I'm very pleased with these velour pads. They feel comfy on the ears (even for long continuous use) and have no potential for a mess of leather flakes. As I do not have a direct comparison between new stock Sony pads and these, I can't fairly compare the effects that each pair has on the audio. I can say that as ear pads they do an excellent job of containing noise and the audio quality is as good as I remember it being.
