EverFocus EIR100 LED Infrared Illuminator for EZ 550/EZN 850

The EverFocus EIR100 Infrared (IR) Illuminator incorporates the latest advances in IR technology to add to the low light surveillance. Primarily to be used with the EZ550 and EZN850 cameras from Everfocus; the EIR100 IR Illuminator considerably improves the image quality in low to very low ambient light conditions. The EIR100 works even in complete dark conditions to produce 'heat maps' that provide a very clear approximation of the target image.

The Everfocus EIR100 has a wavelength of 850 nanometers, which enables the attached camera to easily capture clear and passive images based on thermal (heat) emissions without any artificial or natural light. Further, at 850 nanometers, the light emitted by the EIR100 is visible only at the light source, making the Illuminator very discrete and hard to spot.

With a range of 70 meters or 230 feet, the EIR100 is capable of illuminating most typical surveillance spaces such as backyards, storage areas or corridors. The LED source that emits the IR illumination has a lifespan of 20,000 hours or slightly more than 6 years based on a calculation of 9 hours of daily use.

The EIR100 has a built-in sensor that automatically powers the illuminator under low light or during the night and switches it off during the day. Human intervention is therefore minimized and the already low power consumption of 12 watts from a power source of 12 volts, reduced. In addition, the Illuminator is small in size and also lightweight. Overall, the EIR100 unobtrusively and economically fits alongside the surveillance camera, enabling it to capture images in low light.

The EIR100 is weatherproof (IP66 rated) and has an operating range of -40 to 50 degrees centigrade (-40 - 122 Fahrenheit) and can withstand between 20 to 80 per cent humidity. The EIR100 LED units can be adjusted easily left or right, covering larger areas.
