The WXGA-resolution Casio XJ-S43W is a widescreen super slim projector with a short-throw lens. A short throw lens, simply put, can project a larger picture at a shorter distance from the screen than a conventional lens can. For example the XJ-S43W can project an image that's five feet measured diagonally at less than 4.6 feet from the screen The XJ-S43W is ideal for smaller conference rooms, classrooms and living rooms. Its power focus, 2x zoom lens gives you maximum flexibility in where you place the projector. Its 2800 lumens of projection power at an 1800:1 contrast ratio means It'll be effective in big rooms too.
But the XJ-S43W can do lot more than make big pictures in tight spaces. For one thing, it can make them all over the world. It's got an international 100 - 240 volt 50/60 Hz power supply and it can project video in the NTSC, PAL and SECAM standards. And speaking of international, its onscreen display (OSD) offers your choice of 10 languages. The XJ-S43W is also compatible with a couple dozen Macintosh and PC resolution/sync rates plus 720p, 1080i and 1080p high definition.
The XJ-S43W makes beautiful, vivid pictures thanks to its Texas Instruments DLP DMD imaging panel with BrilliantColor. The panel is where the image is formed in a projector. Texas Instruments is generally acknowledged as the maker of the finest panels. You'll find TI's Digital Micromirror Display-Digital Light Processor technology in the top projectors of many brands. It's not hard to understand why.
BrilliantColor increases color accuracy while it increases color brightness by up to 50 percent. And in addition to red green and blue, its spectrum includes their complements: cyan, magenta and yellow. What's more, DLP projectors require no filters that have to be cleaned and replaced, which saves you time and money and, in the case of a permanent ceiling installation possibly some skinned knuckles.
Of course if you're a road warrior you're sure to appreciate the XJ-S43W's low weight (3.96 pounds) and small size (10.63 x 1.69 x 7.83"). Thanks to its high static pressure Sirocco fan it cools down quickly so shortly after your presentation is over you can place the projector and its cables in their included cases and be on your way.
