Panasonic VW-VH04PPK Battery Pack Holder Kit
The Panasonic VW-VH04PPK Battery Pack Holder Kit is necessary when using large battery packs, such as the VW-VBG6PPK and VW-VBG260, that will not fit properly on small camcorders. The kit allows you to connect your extended life lithium-ion battery pack to the camera via an extension cable, and lets you carry the battery at your waist in the included case.
Panasonic camcorders compatible with the VW-VBG260 and VW-VBG6PPK battery packs include the HDC-SD5, HDC-SD1, SDR-H60, and SDR-H40.
The VW-VBG6PPK alone is compatible with the HDC-HS300, HDC-TM300, HDC-HS250, HDC-SD100, HDC-HS100, HDC-HS20, HDC-TM20, HDC-SD20, HDC-HS9, HDC-SX5, SDR-H90, SDR-H80, PV-GS90, and VDR-D50. Other cameras may be compatible as new models are released.

This accessory must be used in conjunction with VW-VBG6 battey pack on small camcorders... You have no option :(
Another thing I dislike is the leght of the cable... Using it with my TM700, I am having problems filming over my head, sometimes I use shirts with small pockets, and this holder don´t fit.
If you buy it, maybe you should take care of all of theese according to your shooting conditions.

This is a well constructed unit, however it could be a little bit roomier so as to fit the big battery(s) and extension cord that goes with the need to have the battery pack holder in the first place. If you don't mind not being able to get the cover closed it will do the job!
