Comments about Sony ICF-C8WM Mobile Phones + Walkman Clock Radio:
This particular model made in China is not nearly as good quality as my 25+ year old Sony ICF-C10W Dream Machine made in Taiwan.
First of all, the FM tuner is very weak and unable to pick up stations that my old one could easily pick up. I'm within the Austin city limits and should have no issues.
Second, many of the controls are in the back of the unit, which is very inconvenient to access.
Third, I actually had to read the instructions to figure out how to program this, and I can usually figure out most things without the manual.
Further, there are no controls for the Walkman on the Dream Machine. So, the controls on the Walkman become a little more awkward when mounted on the port. And, when my Walkman is fully charged, the screen stays on telling me the battery is full, although it does go off when it's playing.

Comments about Sony ICF-C8WM Mobile Phones + Walkman Clock Radio:
I had been looking for an alarm clock that I could plug my walkman into and charge it. I found this easy to set-up and use. Was generally pleased with it except the display failed after about one week. Had already thrown out the packaging, so will now find out how Sony's warranty works and update.
Likes:
Docking for Walkman
Sound quality - as expected for price - not great but OK.
Liked simple controls and clean lines.
Good reception of FM stations - even weak ones
Dislikes:
Buttons are so easy to push (esp. at 5:45 AM!) that it can be hard to handle without accidentally pushing buttons.
Would prefer to switch the phone and walkman docks.
