The 72mm f/5.6 L Schneider Apo-Digitar Lens with a Copal #0 Shutter from Cambo is designed specially to meet the needs of digital photography. It provides ultra-high resolution required by large-format CCD sensors and ensures the highest possible clarity and sharpness over its entire image fields. Its large image circle enables tilt and shift adjustments of professional digital studio cameras. Lens elements have apochromatic correction that reduces color fringing which is vital to digital photography.
Unlike film-based photography, digital sensors are less forgiving and require light to strike straight on, whereas film could receive light transmitted from any angle. Thus digital lenses like this one directs light straight down the optical path in a fashion required by digital CCD or CMOS sensors.
