The Cables Unlimited E-sata dock works very well, does not get hot and generally performs as advertised in the e-sata mode though I have not tried it yet in standard USB 2 mode. All needed cables were provided. Documentation for the unit was not provided and the online manual would not load. Tips to new users would be a good add-on- especially noting that most drives need to be formatted to be seen by a system. This alone would probably save uncounted user and company hours. So far, I would suggest this item to others with the stipulations I noted. I'm primarily using the drive dock to facilitate video and image editing and backup.
