Archos DVR Station
The ARCHOS DVR Station turns your ARCHOS 5, ARCHOS 5 Internet Tablet, or ARCHOS 7 into a multimedia web connected platform. Connect your ARCHOS to the Station and you'll be able to enjoy all the aspects of your Tablet right on your television. You'll also be able to record straight from TV, playback HD videos up to 720p on your TV, browse the web on your TV's screen, stream from your PC, and listen to 5.1 surround sound using the SPDIF output.
Another highlight of the DVR Station is the ARCHOS Media Club which keeps movies, documentaries, music, and games available for purchase or rental right on your TV. The station also comes with an intriguing remote control that features a built-in keyboard and mouse pointer for navigating the Internet on your TV. I had the Archos 7 as a present and I bought the DVR for it. The DVR is very easy to set up and it's great to use with the TV big screen. I used it for playing music on my stereo system and watching videos on my TV.
The Archos is with Flash player 9 but the web movies I want to watch with FP 10. I read from the web that Archos is working to have FP 10, which I'm looking forward to very much.

This product offers a lot more possibilties than the previous 604 docking station version. Supporting now input and output of s-video and component video. They also added hdmi input on this unit. As for me powersupplies are oversized especially when you want to plug more than one unit on a single power bar. The archos doesnt fit tightly in the slot normally it would not be a problem but with fully touch screen archos 5 its a a mess. Luckily the unit comes with a great full key remote to type in text field and move with a mouse-like cursor.

The product works as advertised. Unfortuneately was originally purchased to work the archos 7 internet tablet. NOTE: They are not compatible. Had return the 7 and order the Archos 5. Works well with that. connectors seem a bit flimsy. Time will tell
