Comments about Pyle Pro PP999 Phono Preamplifier:
It's a simple but necessary device when upgrading to new audio gear that doesn't support a phono input. This gadget boosts the low-level output from a phono cartridge to "line" levels. I connected mine in minutes and it works fine.

Needed this preamp to copy my vinyl records from my turntable to my computer. I didn't have to spend a fortune and I got everything I wanted and needed. GREAT product and a GREAT value!

Comments about Pyle Pro PP999 Phono Preamplifier:
I have a turntable and Sony Home Theater system that required a pre-amp interface to hear my vinyl collection. It works flawlessly. Just had to plug in the pre-amp power cord, connect the 2 supplied RCA plugs to the turntable output and into the pre-amp. Then connect another pair of RCA plugs (not supplied) from the out put side of the pre-amp into the input side of an unused audio input of my home theater amp and "voila", let there be sound! A whole lot cheaper than buying a new high-end amp that has a phono jack!
I have not experienced any buzzes, hisses, etc.
I have noticed, however, that it does not repair vinyl record scratches and cracks nor allow me to understand 1970's Bob Dylan any better.

Comments about Pyle Pro PP999 Phono Preamplifier:
Easy to set up & sounds great. Some reviewers complain of a buzz or hum noise, but that's likely due to not attaching your turntable's grounding wire. I attached mine to one of the screws on this preamp and it sounds perfect.[...]

Comments about Pyle Pro PP999 Phono Preamplifier:
Bought this for my Sony PS-LX56 turntable to bring its output to "LINE" level since my receiver has no "phono" input (like most new receivers today). Great sound quality. Very satisfied.

I have a Technics SL-D20 that I bought on Craigslist, and I don't have a phono input on my receiver, but with this it works great!
