I had never used gaffer tape before. This is good stuff. It releases without leaving residue on what you had it stuck to. I of course have not tested it on all surfaces, temperatures or long term, but I think it will be a very useful purchase.
I have wrote on it with sharpie markers, photo markers, ball point ink pens and even pencil.
seems to work well.

Perfect little roll for my camera bag. All my shooting is on the road so it's nice to have a compact roll of gaff tape instead of hauling the usual 60yd roll around.

Used product to secure two 12x12 mirrors for studio bounce light. Stuff works without leaving much residue. I do wish the roll was a little larger for the price.

This tape is incredibly useful in the studio and in my camera bag. It's very, very strong, but easy to remove without leaving any residue. Note that you need scissors or a knife to cut it with, though. I use it for taping gels to my speedlight and for taping in the studio as well. Very handy!

I use Gaffer Tape to hold my camera in place when I don't have the right clamp to do the job. It's also great for holding cables in place, holding reflectors, etc.

And the best thing, it doesn't leave adhesive residue on your equipment.
