Comments about Giottos MT9251 with MH1000 Ball Head/MH652 Quick Release:
I bought this tripod to support my Nikon D300s - it replaces a much cheaper tripod that just wasn't cutting it anymore. Heaviness is a relative term, it's heavier than what I had before but it doesn't feel like it's going to break my back carrying it around using the strap that comes with it. Adjusting the legs is a little stiff however it feels like it has a sturdy build. There's bubble levels to ensure it's level however on the ball head it's challenging to set the bubble in the middle. I do like being able to spread the legs to set the tripod at a lower level (I wasn't able to before) and it has legs long enough with a head high enough for me to look straight into the viewfinder of my camera (I'm 5'6") instead of hunching over with my prior tripod. Overall I think I made a good decision.

Comments about Giottos MT9251 with MH1000 Ball Head/MH652 Quick Release:
Bought the Giottos Monopod first for some soccer game use. Was very impressed by the build so bought the tripod as well. It's very sturdy yet not too heavy. The ball head is very easy to use. Overall build quality is very good.
