Got two of these from B&H, best price on the net! I thought a single drive was fast, but with two in a RAID 0 array, yikes!! It will scare you how fast windows 7 loads and runs! Thanks B&H!

extremely fast, small, low power draw. Intended for laptops, I put it in a desktop as boot disk for Win 7 64-bit OS. So snappy that it made my old computer feel like new.

Comments about Intel 80GB X25-M Mainstream SATA Solid-State Drive:
I use the x25-m in a 13" MacBook Pro.
It is AMAZINGLY fast. It is literally like using a different computer. It feels faster than any Mac I've ever used in day-to-day operations like opening applications, boot/shutdown, etc. No difference in processor-intensive things of course, but the general increase is speed is mindblowing.
The only bad thing is if you use Windows 7. The updated firmware on this drive is causing major hassles. If you do use it for Windows 7, simply hope that you don't get the 02HA firmware. As long as your SSD comes with older firmware, and you do not upgrade, it will be fine with Windows 7. Hopefully soon Intel will have the new firmware out. I am assuming it will be soon since they have removed the 02HA version from their web site due to the issues.
All in all I highly recommend this drive for non-Windows 7 users (or cautious ones). Works FANTASTIC in my MacBook Pro, it's now basically silent and incredibly fast.

Talk about your noticeable upgrades. If you have a top of the line system and don't own this SSD or the 160gb version then you are missing out. Never has one upgrade improved my overall system enjoyment as much as this has.

Been using this as the OS partition on my system and it has been great. The problem is I'm getting used to application opening up immediately and it spoils me when I have to work on other machines. Using arch linux and everything has just worked. I really haven't tinkered with it yet. Once the issues have been worked out with the latest firmware I'll upgrade it so that the TRIM command will work and performance won't degrade over time.
