The IRISnotes Digital Pen from IRIS is, at first glance, a pen. It looks like a pen, writes like a pen, and feels like a pen. However, it is much more. The inconspicuous writing utensil is actually a digital pen, which records everything that you write or draw as digital data.
The pen does not require any sort of special paper, allowing you to use it with your favorite notebook or diary. It features a companion wireless receiver which records the data, to later connect to your computer via USB for download. Easy Note Taker Manager software for Mac and Windows and MyScript Notes Lite software for Windows are included.

Comments about IRISnotes Digital Pen:
1) The instruction booklets which are enclosed only provide you with info to install the drivers and there is scant info re using the product... However, their tech support team turned out to be quite helpful.
2) When it comes to handwriting recognition, the product falls a bit short (but I haven't really worked much with this feature, nor was this what I bought it for).
3) When it comes to downloading your notes to your PC or writing directly on your PC (when the receiver is hooked up to the PC via USB port)... it's great!!! I love this product!! For my purposes, I prefer it to digital writing tablets!!
