The iHome iP51GR 2.1 Micro System with Dual Alarm Clock Radio for iPhone/iPod is a great way to wake up or just rock out any time of the day. The 2.1 Micro System features two 7.5W satellite speakers and a 16W subwoofer for 31 watts of total output power. The detachable speakers also feature iHome's Reson8 speaker technology, while the subwoofer has its own volume control for enhanced bass response. In addition to playing your iPod or iPhone, the system also charges your player while it's docked and provides you with a remote for control from a distance.
The iP51GR's dual alarm gives you the option to wake to your iPod, iPhone, radio, or buzzer. Using iHome's 7-5-2 alarm settings you can even set a consistent alarm time for everyday, weekdays, and weekends, while the DST switch makes for easy adjustment for daylight savings time. I bought this so I can fall asleep to my iPod. Unfortunately, there is no alarm volume and the alarm will go off at the last set volume, which for me is a soft volume so I can fall asleep, and if I can fall asleep to it then I bet I will not wake up to it. Good thing I tested the alarm before actually using it to wake me up for work.
Sub woofer has hardly any sound even at full volume. Sound gets distorted at higher volumes.

Used as a small room sound system and alarm clock. Works good with the exception of the videos vocals on the Ipod. No video works great - Video sounds like the speakers are blown.

I was looking for something to go in my master bedroom...Didn't want a bulky boom box nor a big bulky stereo system.... When I received this iP51GR 2.1 I didn't know what to expect because of it's size...Wow was I pleasantly surprised. The sound is that of a system 5x it's size.
Love it and I have told my family and friends about it...Great Product!!!
