The affordable Epson PictureMate Charm Compact Photo Printer delivers only 4 x 6" photos with true-to-life skin tones, amazing detail and sharpness at a maximum print resolution of 5760 x 1440dpi. It can print a photo in 37 seconds and photos are dry, scratch, and water resistant as soon as they are out of the printer. The PictureMate Charm uses PictureMate Print Packs that include sheets of either matte or glossy paper and ink. The Charm has a 2.5" LCD display and slots to accommodate most popular memory cards. It has a PictBridge interface so you can print directly from a compatible digital camera.
The PictureMate Charm has a built-in carry handle and an optional battery pack is available to enable portability. Plus, the Charm includes Auto Photo Correction, which adjusts the color and exposure of your photos, and there's also red eye correction. I am a professional photographer that occasionally incorporates instant gratification to my shoots like family reunions. This little printer does good work (good enough that I decided to frame and sell some of my nature prints). I was taken aback by the initial lack of quality out of the box with the original (sample) ink cartridge. Once I got a real one in place the prints are really quite amazing.

I've owned the various models of this type of printer that Epson has developed and sold. Overall I find the print quality superior to other brands AND the photos are 100% waterproof! Not something most of the competitors can boast about.
The only negative I find with this model (Charm) is that the ability to print 2 different pics on one page without borders (jumbo wallet?), is no longer a print format option as it has been on a previous model.

I think they should have included Bluetooth support for $10-$15 more so you would not have to use the USB port to make it functional. Other than that I am having a blast with it and have successfully used my Vagabond Mini to power it.

I am event photographer and this little puppy is up to the task. Very fast print speeds with great quality. Customers want instant gratification and this little puppy does not disappoint. The best thing the quality of prints and the optional battery that allows me to work in parks without having to find an outlet. I haven't found anything that I don't like to this point. Great Buy!!!

We recently used our Picture Mate Charm photo printer at a small photo shoot to pass out small 4x6 samples of our work. This printer worked excellent and was very easy to operate, with amazing results, very quick print time approximately 7 seconds per photo. It is very light weight and easy to carry. The only dislike of this printer was the small viewing screen.

When I doing important work I use this product to proof my prints before I send them out to the lab. I also use it for photos on demand events. I get great lab quality 4x6 prints for a fraction of the cost. It's very user friendly and easy to handle.You can take it every where you go and get the same consistant quality you enjoy from your lab. It only take seconds to change the ink cartriage. All my friends love the way their pictures look. I love this product so much I acutally own four of them. When every I have a special event to photograph, I take all four of them with me. It really put every other printer in it's class to shame.....And that's no exaggeration.

This is a great printer for events. Good contrasting colors with many options on the 4X6 prints. Compared to similar models of other brands, this is less expensive in the long term and with prints only requiring a single pass throught the ink cartridge, there is less room for error on the final product. I would reccomend this to family and friends. I would also reccomend getting the battery pack for true protability.

I used this for a photo booth setup at a wedding with about 75 guests. It worked great with no problems. If you print from camera it won't let you shoot while it is printing a print. If I do a larger wedding I would need two cameras and two printers. People love getting a picture right there on the spot. Client was happy.

My wife and I use it for home use and she said it makes better prints than what drugstores produce. I did a lot of research and read many reviews before deciding upon this printer.I think the colors are excellent and the image is sharp. I have not compared these prints to what a typical photo shop makes, but I think the quality might be very close. Thus far, we have printed only the 4x6 images which is the only paper size the printer handles. If we ever want enlargements of particular pictures, we can have them made at a photo shop. We bought this model because of the good reviews from other users and it was less expensive than models which handle large paper sizes. My opinion is that a printer dedicated to doing photos only will make better prints than multiple function models. My wife tried one such printer that we have and she said the prints were not very good. We bought it for the convenience of being able to make prints at home and my wife is well pleased with this printer. This is the first product review that I have written. This printer is fine for our current printing requirements.

I bought this Picturemate Charm as a gift for a close friend. This friend had a similar product that she relied on, but it ultimately failed. The picturemate Charm appears to fit her needs exactly. It's more compact than earlier products, and is very easy to use. The pictures print quickly, and are crystal-clear. The controls are all conveniently placed right in front. The viewer is much improved from ones found on earlier versions. This product could eventually be attached to a personal computer as a second printer for added versatility. My friend is an avid horsewoman, and is already talking about taking it with her when she participates in her equestrian trailriding meets. I myself have owned an earler Picturmate for some 10 years now, and will buy this exact model as a replacement when the time comes. This is an excellent product that's very handy to have around when friends gather, or to take along on trips like my friend anticipates doing.

Th printer is very nice, easy to set up and use. I use it for familly pictures. Its much better than prints from a regular ink jet and being water proof is really great for sharing with children. I wish the screen was larger but the size is a good tradeoff to keep the printer small.

I bought this printer for my father to take up north camping for the summer months, he prints photos at his camp site and sends them via snail mail to friends and relatives. He likes how compact it is and user friendly and is impressed with the quality of the pictures. It is very efficient as far as ink usage goes. When we received the printer it came with a 20 blank pictures and a ink cartridge, it ended up printing 25 pictures from that kit.
The only dislike I have with the purchase is it did not come with the rechargeable battery (that was an option). Other than that I have to give Epson a pat on the back for this little gem.

Use for printing 4x6 photos. Not worried that is the only size it can print. I bought it to print proofs, 4x6's for albums, desktop frames etc. EASY to use (no computer req'd), great clarity and color, especially face tones.
The optional battery is very convenient, we use it at the kitchen island and don't have to worry about a cord. We have taken the Charm to birthday parties as well and print copies right then and there for family. The only improvement I would recommend is a slightly larger, standard screen. For me, the Picturemate Show's LCD screen is too large.
