I pretty much hated iPod before this, but now I have TRUE reason to hate it!
I guess part of the problem/pain in the rear with the iPod family is iTunes.... it was even more difficult and frustrating to use than Windows Media Player.
I am used to the Sony Walkman MP3 series, which is simpler than this, true, but usually simpler is better! Trying to organize my music was a joke, and the sound quality/volume was lousy.... it might have helped if you could use more than ONE setting at a time (on the equalizer/sound settings bit), but you can't.
Perhaps this would be decent if you were looking for something that was an MP3 player in a *secondary* role, but for me it's almost useless. NOTE: I had this for less than a week, so I have no idea how reliable it is....

App's that you can download to Ipod are great.
Pandora radio is fantastic and free on internet when connected for radio access to all genres.
Can download many songs do not think I will ever have to delete any songs in my library. Highly recommend this product.

I bought this to replace an older Dell 5 GB MP3 player. Love that little guy, just needed more space. This iPod does what I need it to do and hold all of my cds on it. I haven't really gotten to far into the unit itself since I don't really care to much about alot of the features it offers. I do like the WiFi and how I can use my Pandora account on this without having to run my computer. Pretty cool.
What I did notice was that I do prefer the sound quality on my Dell over this. It has alittle more bass and I was able to custom adjust the EQ, which I can't do on the iPod. The iPod does sound very clean and clear with my Sony or Koss headphones, just needs a tad more bottom. I also didn't care at all for itunes. It's horrible. I know I listen to alot of out of country bands, but even my mainstream music itunes couldn't even find the cover art. I'm using Foobar2000 and I'm able to sync perfectly. I also hate how itunes forces you to enter a credit card just to use it, even when you have no intention of buying anything from them.

For me this was an upgrade from an old 2 GB iPod Nano. I was intrigued by the Touch's expanded feature set. However, I have plenty of good digital cameras, so decided to save a little money by choosing a gen. 3 model which does not include a camera. So far everything has worked fine. The device found my wireless account and connected to the internet almost before I knew what it was doing. I upgraded to iOS 4 through iTunes without a hitch. I have purchased and installed an iBird app, again without problems. My only complaint goes to the absence of a printed user manual. The on-screen manual is a poor replacement for a printed hard copy, in my opinion. I have found it desirable to download the .pdf version and print out selected portions of that, a process which is a nuisance and should not be needed. Overall, however, I am satisfied with the gen. 3 iPod Touch.

I use this product for nursing school. it contains all my medical books and apps that i need to pass the nursing exam. it holds a lot of diagrams and charts!!
the apps are fun to download. i found a lot of great ones that i can use for school and entertainment.
the only issue i have is the battery life when using apps. its ridiculous. when using an app, or if i accidentally leave it on, the battery is gone after an hr if i'm lucky. curiously, if i use ibooks the battery can last longer but not if its an interactive app.
I would still purchase this product. just have a wall charger or computer around regularly. ^_^

This is the best purchase I've ever made! I'm actually writing this review from it. It was super easy to set up and use. Both my grandparents and nieces and nephews fan figure out how to use it, and I'm the type of peron that whenever I buy something I have some kind of buyers remorse but I have never regretted making this purchase! The only bad thing is that the batter doesn't last longer than like I0 hours. I would recommend this item to anyone anywhere!!
