The American Dynamics ADSDUIH22PIPC IP SpeedDome Ultra 8 Programmable Dome Camera Kit consists of a SpeedDome Ultra 8 camera, an integrated IP encoder, and an indoor pendant housing with a clear bubble. One of the primary goals in an IP security establishment is to minimize the degree to which the camera needs to draw upon storage and network resources. For this reason, American Dynamics incorporated this camera with ACC (Active Content Compression) technology - a codec that compresses data up to nine times more efficiently than the MPEG-4 and MJPEG formats while maintaining image quality.
To further enhance data management, image frame rates and resolutions can be fully adjusted according to a specific security need and so that they match a particular network environment. Once interfaced with the network, this camera can be accessed for viewing, and for PTZ control via a Microsoft Internet Explorer browser, Intellex IP system, Network Client, Browser Client, or VideoEdge NVR solution. A watchdog monitoring system is in place to ensure that the camera operates at peak performance. Some of the functions of this watchdog system is to activate an alert upon video loss detection, and to auto reset the camera to its previous settings following the restoration of power after a temporary cutoff.
