The American Dynamics RS-232 to RS-422/485 Converter is an accessory for the DigiMux DG4000 series digital surveillance system. The RS-422 standard is applicable for longer distance transmission and higher baud rates than the RS-232 standard. The RS-485 standard is suitable for multi-point communications networks; it specifies up to 32 drivers and 32 receivers on a single (2-wire) bus.
