The system stopped working after a few days. The audio portion of the system has failed and I am in the process of returning the product. It is a shame because I liked the product but to completely fail after a few days is unthinkable.

Comments about Boston Acoustics Duo-i plus AM/FM Stereo Radio with iPhone/iPod Dock (Black):
We bought this radio as a gift for our son and daughter-in-law. We initially planned to buy a Bose, but when we found out that the iPod connection was not included, we decided to do some research. We are thrilled with the purchase and our family is very happy. We are so impressed with the sound quality, which is as good, if not better, than a Bose.

Comments about Boston Acoustics Duo-i plus AM/FM Stereo Radio with iPhone/iPod Dock (Black):
The music quality was super but it made a humming noise with the iphone attached. The humming noise also occurred at other times. This problem was documented a year or so ago, but I thought that surely the manufacturer would have fixed this design flaw by now. The humming noise was audible at 10 ft. from the machine. As this was used in a bedroom it was not acceptable.

Works even better than expected with the iPhone 4. Able to easily wake to anything on iPhone including Pandora.Unit is intuitive and simple to operate. And the best part is the sound. I've compared multiple units and this one is by far the best in my opinion.[...]

Comments about Boston Acoustics Duo-i plus AM/FM Stereo Radio with iPhone/iPod Dock (Black):
Pros: Sound is best in the price range. Good sound and power in a relatively small package. Lots of i/o options subwoofer add-on, video out, line in, headphone out. Charges iPhone quickly. No wall wart! Hurray! Many plastic templates to get it to fit your devic(s) exactly on the iInterface.
Cons: Limited control over iPod or iPhone from remote. An annoying hum when plugging in an iPhone. Not very good radio reception. Interface is a bit complex, but then this has a lot of options. Not entry level.
I knew about the annoying hum before I bought it, but the sound is so good I bought it anyway. The Boston Acoustics unit that costs half as much but has no radio might be a good alternative, especially since you can listen to internet radio via your iPhone anyway. If it weren't for the hum on an "iPhone approved" device, I would say they hit it out of the park. Even then, nothing competes for sound quality at this price point, or less.
One other caveat: this unit is heavy and has no carrying handle or place to put your hand to act as a handle. To pick it up requires two hands to manage it properly. It seems meant to stay in one place though it's not SO heavy it can't actually be moved. Let's just say it's not super-portable.
