Comments about Lowepro Outback 200 Modular Beltpack:

I am a wedding photographer and I need to change lenses all the time. With this beltpack I can reach all of my lenses fast and without the concern of them falling to the floor. I can carry my 70-200, a Macro 100, and a 28-135, a camera flash, batteries, etc. and be comfortable enough to keep on working.

Comments about Lowepro Outback 200 Modular Beltpack:

Do you know the feeling that after a long search you found what you were looking for? that's the feel with this product. I have a side bag, magnum something, good materials, it's almost 25 years old and still serves me well, but it's BIG and though it carry everything, the disadvantage is that it's size never change. I have a backpack, also LowPro, very good product, but getting things in and out means that I need to take it off, and it takes my back (generates the usual "why you take all your camera gear with you?" complaint, when others need to carry my load when I take it). Now I finally got this one, sure it's not small but smaller side bags don't fit my 7D and it's battery grip inside. The best feature with this bag is that it's MODULAR. Sometimes I need just the camera with one lens (there is enough room for a 50mm under my zoom - big, I already mentioned). Sometimes I want my wide angle, I can add one side bag, when I want to take a long lens, well I can add the other one. Having this flexibility in bag size is very important for me. Unlike fixed size bags I can make it as large or as small as I like it to be. As for other features: it's easy to get the camera in and out without the need to fully open all your stuff to the world, it does not hanging loose on one side when you need your balance, there is also some room for other things, memory card, charger etc.

And there is a bonus, to the joy of the family, I can take my camera with me, take good pictures, while they can place a full backpack with all the heavy stuff on me, having two birds at one catch.

Unfortunately, they now need to find a new topic to argue about.. :-)

Comments about Lowepro Outback 200 Modular Beltpack:

I bought this Bag to use in Alaska to carry my T2I W/Sigma 70-200mm F/2.8 which totals 10.7" without the X2 Adapter and 13.7" including the Hoya UV shield. There is some extra room around the camera so some Velcro fastened pads are needed to secure the set up. It fits nicely but there is no room for anything else so if your ancillary equipment (lenses, charger, etc.) won't fit in the front and side pouches, like me, you will have to have another case: which I leave on the boat.

Comments about Lowepro Outback 200 Modular Beltpack:

On my first outing with this bag, I carried my D300s with battery grip and 24-70mm lens in the main compartment. The side pockets held an 80-200mm f2.8 and a 105mm micro lens, and the front pocket held my SB-900 flash, plus a few filters and cleaning supplies. I also attached a water bottle carrier and expodisk holder to the strap sewn to the front & top of the bag. That's a LOT of stuff to carry around all day, but the bag's combo of waist belt & shoulder strap distributes the weight pretty well.

As per Lowepro's norm, the bag protects the contents very well. Everything is easily accessible "on the fly", without having to go find someplace to sit down.

I have no complaints about this bag at all.

I was looking for a waist pack for some time, and finally came across this one. I prefer a waistpack because I can still put on a camelbak for hiking, and I don't have all the weight around my shoulders. I fit my D300 and 70-200 2.8 VR in the center pouch, a tc-17 and 16-35 F4 in one side pouch, my cables, shutter release, cards, in the other, and my flash in the front pouch. For the price, it is a comfortable solution for me, and I am glad I bought it.

Comments about Lowepro Outback 200 Modular Beltpack:

Doing some photojournalism, it is not aways practical to take all of my gear (which is cared for in my Magnum 400) to various locations, so I then opt for the Outback 200.

This well constructed and comfortable unit easily carries my DSLR Nikon with 70-200 lens in the centre compartment, 17-35 in another and there is still one free for bits and pieces including a Speedlight (or a water bottle).

For when there is the requirement to carry and have protected the immediate gear you are using, the Outback 200 is perfect.

I can't stand anything around my neck, so a roomy camera bag for my waist is essential. The two side lens compartments come off, a great feature. All put together it does look really big on me, so for short trips or casual shoots, I take one or two side compartments off. Looking forward to using this on a safari in near future. I can fit two cameras with normal lenses in center pocket, and the two side compartments hold my long lenses. Room for filters, batteries, cards.

I bought this bag to use at weddings. I wanted a hip strap so my bag wouldn't be flopping all over the place, and I needed a belt to hook my Canon CP-E4 battery back. This bag hold a lot. It would be a bit better compartmentalized. The middle compartment is huge, but you end up having to stack stuff on top of each other. The side lens bags are also great for long lenses, but not so great for quick access to my wide angle and portrait lenses. The belt strap is very padded and comfortable.
