EASY 48 Configuration and Monitoring Software for Windows XP, 2000, 95/98 and NT 4.0-Based Systems

The EASY48 system configuration software is a user-friendly MS Windows application that permits the administrator to program the MegaPower 48 Plus either on-site or remotely via Ethernet or RS-232. The EASY 48 configuration and monitoring software enables you to custom-configure using computers running Windows XP, 2000, 95/98 and NT 4.0-based systems. The system configuration software allows you to remotely check the system status of cameras and monitors via an Ethernet connection or to back up and restore both system data.

Access Authorization

With the Keyboard-to-Monitor Access authorization, selected keyboards can be restricted from accessing selected video outputs. With the Monitor-to-Camera Access authorization, selected video outputs can be restricted from displaying selected video inputs. Keyboard-to-Camera Access restricts selected keyboards from calling or controlling selected video inputs. Moreover, the Keyboard-to-Camera Control Access, with control restrictions, allows selected keyboards to view clippings from certain cameras.

Dome Ping Test and Status Display

The dome ping test displays the health of the network. Besides, it verifies the integrity of the SensorNet and RS-422 communications. You can find the video detection status, dome mnemonic, dome protocol as well as the dome software version on the dome information screen. As the status is displayed on the screen it becomes fast and easy to verify/check and rectify any disruptions.

Full Embedded System Menus for Easy Setup

The on-screen menus ensure that the system features can be programmed from a full-system keyboard. You can select the on-screen text for the first eight monitors which display the date/time, video input number, 16-character user-definable video input or preset title, alarm title, and monitor status.

4096 Preset Titles and 250 Alarm Titles

A camera, preset, pattern, wireless text message, salvo, alarm message, and/or auxiliary action can be defined for each alarm input along with individual dwell time for each of them. A text message is sent to your cellular phone or pager when an alarm occurs as the switcher transmits the messages to the devices.

Dedicated Alarm Programming Tables Differentiate Between Alarm Sources

To easily understand what has triggered an alarm and from which camera feed, the alarm inputs can be programmed. During emergency, a dedicated alarm-trigger calls that particular video or salvo input and displays over any one or more video outputs so that the user gets to see the activities without searching the cause and location. For each alarm input, users can define a camera, preset, pattern, wireless text message, salvo, alarm message, and/or auxiliary action (with individual dwell time for each to accommodate sequencing alarms).

Video Loss Detection

The system triggers an alarm in case a video loss is detected. It restricts access to certain system features depending on a user's priority level. For this purpose, the users can be assigned one of eight priority levels for controlling remote camera sites. Up to 64 user codes with different passwords can be assigned.

64 System Tours and 64 Salvos

With Salvo (group) switching, you can call multiple video inputs simultaneously to multiple contiguous video outputs. You can call sixty-four individual groups consisting of up to 16 video inputs (each with a preset, pattern and/or auxiliary action) either manually or as part of a system tour.

Connectivity

The Ethernet Cat 5 IP connection allows seamless communication bridge across multiple matrices within the network. Easy to set up, these Ethernet Cat 5 IP connections offer a stable communication channel for and fast data transfer.

The dual support ensures that the system works seamlessly, irrespective of the communication types. Whether it is the standard RS-422 or simplex RS-422 (either a transmitter or a receiver) the system renders the information undeterred.

The dedicated eight direct ports that supports RS-232 communication standard make expansion easy. These eight ports receive or transmit data from other matrices in an asynchronous serial pattern to deliver video feeds at any given time. Additionally, these ports let the user communicate with keyboards, alarm interface units, recorder control devices, computers, third party devices, modems (for text message paging), and more. Each of the ports can also be expanded to four ports with the use of an optional port expander thus eventually supporting a total of 32 hardware inputs.

For interference free data transfer over long distance the UTP adapter module works out to be best solution. The UTP enables fast and easy installation even in the most demanding situation.

3 Flexible Expansion Modes

The systems are expanded in three modes of expansion, using Ethernet for command and control. It takes place on a basis of primary-to-secondary relationship. All the secondary units continue to function locally when inter-matrix communication is disrupted whereas the users get updated about the fault condition from the primary unit. The basic system has 48 video inputs and 16 full crosspoint video outputs.

In 'Mode 1' expansion, the primary unit has 16 video trunk lines from each of up to three secondary units, providing 16 full crosspoint video outputs with up to 144 video inputs.

In 'Mode 2' expansion, the primary unit has 12 video trunk lines from each of up to four secondary units. 12 full crosspoint video outputs are provided along with up to 192 video inputs. Each secondary contains three local outputs with full crosspoint video switching of local cameras.

The primary unit has eight video trunk lines from each of up to six secondary units in 'Mode 3' expansion and provides 8 full crosspoint video outputs with up to 288 video inputs. Each secondary contains seven local outputs with full crosspoint video switching of local cameras.

Control

Both SensorNet and RS-422 dome settings are directly controlled by the keyboard with DirectSet control. Whether it is a ControlCenter 200/300 DirectSet key or any of the ADTTE, AD2088, and AD2089 keys, the user needs to either enter a couple of quick strokes or make minor changes with the joystick - the result comes upfront on the screen within seconds.

The standard recorder functions - such as play, stop, pause, record, rewind, fast forward, and eject - can be controlled directly from a suitably-equipped keyboard.

For convenience users can define their own intuitive macros to control each of the other ControlCenter 1100 or AD2088/AD2089 workstations in the network and perform a multitude of tasks via easy-to-remember keystrokes.

The Touch Tracker Controller controls up to 64 SensorNet programmable domes. A series of up to 16 video inputs can be defined and displayed in multi-screen formats.

The standard features of the Touch Tracker Controller include programming/control of three patterns and up to 96 presets per dome. Single or several video inputs can be controlled by the Touch Tracker Controller which acts like a standalone unit. It also supports 10 different languages and easily interfaces with the Intellex digital video management system for dome control. Alarm events are recognized easily with more than one alarm playing at once through the system's four simultaneous alarm inputs.

The controller includes Multi-vision Quest Multiplexers, with which you can remotely freeze images, activate digital zoom, run multiplexer sequences, and select cameras to display multi-image displays in each window. Its three levels of password protection make this system tamper-proof. Also the controller's intuitive front panel provides easy control and management and the controlstick offers pan/tilt controls for selected domes.
