The Sound2 Speakers from LaCie are a pair of high-quality satellite speakers that have been engineered by Cabasse. A renowned hi-fi sound system designer, Cabasse has lent their expertise in crafting these speakers, which feature a stunning industrial design by Neil Poulton.

The speakers connect to an audio source using a standard 1/8" (3.5mm) stereo minijack or to a Mac or PC computer via USB 2.0. Power is provided via your computer's USB port or the included AC power adapter. The speakers feature a Class D Digital Amplifier, Cabasse's Wide Band Driver, magnetic shielding, a bass reflex system, and 30W of peak system output for superlative audio quality.

The LaCie Sound2 Speakers are a collaboration between LaCie and Cabasse, one of the most respected sound-system companies in the world since 1950. With their sophisticated and advanced acoustic engineering, the Sound2 Speakers represent a step up from previous generations of USB speakers, and most importantly, demonstrate that high-quality sound doesn't have to come at a high price
The appealing, vinyl record-inspired look of the Sound2 Speakers is a product of world-renowned designer Neil Poulton, who has designed our successful LaCie FireWire speakers. Coupled with Cabasse's loudspeaker driver support, the LaCie Sound2 Speakers add premium sound quality to computer systems or MP3 devices
With a Class D Digital Amplifier, magnetic shielding, a bass reflex system, and a 30W total peak system output, the Sound2 Speakers provide sound that needs to be heard to be believed. Cabasse's own Wide Band Driver comes with the speakers, helping them to provide some of the best performance, at a great value
The Sound2 Speakers' built-in USB cable ensures that you'll never lose it, and when you aren't using your speakers, you won't be left with a tangle of wires. In addition, you can choose between powering your Sound2 Speakers through USB or the external power supply, giving you more options

Cons

    Best Uses

      Comments about LaCie Sound2 Speakers:

Sound quality is great. Its a bit annoying to have to turn them off every time i put my computer to sleep, or they let out a constant loud buzz. also they blow out if the volume is too high, which is a little annoying because i like it loud sometimes.

other then these two things i like them, stylish. and its easy to unplug the left one and connect it to an ipod or something.
