Use the Sabine PMR-GP2-18 Phantom Mic Rider to add feedback control, gain control, proximity effect control and plosive control to your 18" gooseneck mic. Just insert the Phantom between your mic's base and the connector on your gooseneck mic. Hidden controls make it easy to fine-tune your Phantom for each situation.

This little marvel does exactly what is described online. It controls proximity so sound remains consistent for speakers that tend to move around a bit. It reduces the harshness of plosives from hard consonants like 't'or 'b' atlthough the plosives control does make the sound a little flat. (nothing that can't be fixed with the EQ). The IR gate is something we have been looking for for quite a while...no longer have to worry about turning on a mic when distracted with sound adjustments.

This product only turns a microphone on when it sees the heat from someone's face. That is good to keep needless noise down in locations where there is no sound person.
Note: cable length is too short for any mic that has an inline amplifier. Documentation says can be set for 5, 10, 15 seconds before it shuts off. This is actually 10, 20, 30 seconds.
