The LK-270 from Casio is a portable electronic keyboard with 61 standard sized, lighted keys. Every key lights up when played, and the built-in lessons utilize the illuminated keys to visually assist you on the keyboard. It's a surprisingly fun way to learn how to play music. The LK-270 comes with a vast library of 570 playable tones, 180 beats and rhythms, and 152 songs. It's an inexpensive, feature-rich instrument that's great for learning, serious playing, and for having a lot of fun with music.
There are multiple reverb and chorus effects built into the LK-270 to sweeten the sound. You can even plug in a microphone to amplify your voice to sing along as you play. There are 52 built-in karaoke songs that you can have a blast singing along with. A standard mini-plug input lets you plug in an MP3 player to jam out with your favorite music.
You can record up to 5 songs with six tracks each on the LK-270. It has an SD Card slot that lets you save and playback files. The integrated USB port can be connected to a computer to transfer MIDI data. The LK-270 can operate via AC power or by 6 standard zinc-carbon or alkaline D batteries (AC adapter and batteries not included).

i got this product to use in a small home recording studio. i was especially excited for the usb-midi. unfortunately i realized when i received this product that there are no drivers for this product that are compatible with Windows 7!! Very disappointing. otherwise it is a great keyboard! i just hope Casio will come out with a driver soon.if you are not getting it to be used with the usb midi function go ahead and get it!!!

lots of features for a reasonable price. But not that easy to program, the menu is very tricky.

Comments about Casio LK-270 - 61 Key Portable Keyboard with Lighted Keys:
Keyboard does exactly what you read about or may have seen on YouTube. I still have not used all of the features but can say the learning mechanism is pretty effective if you can practice often. I didn't realize that songs later in the play list (maybe 60+ ?) are considered "difficult". I picked one and certainly find it challenging but still is quite doable, perhaps starting on the easier songs would have been a more enjoyable experience. Plan to use as a MIDI device with other music making software (FL, etc).

Comments about Casio LK-270 - 61 Key Portable Keyboard with Lighted Keys:
I am definitely a novice and researched a number of keyboards and this one had the most bang for the buck. I was pleasantly surprised! It is well constructed, not flimsy at all. Keylights are bright. More features than I imagined and easy to use. The best part is the quality of the tones. They are all incredibly clear, full and realistic.
I think this would suit any level of player.
