If you're looking for a high performance, high resolution (1400 x 1050 SXGA+) projector, the Canon REALiS SX80 Mark II may be exactly what you want. Using LCOS display technology along with Canon's patented AISYS technology this projector delivers razor-sharp image quality from both PCs and video sources, right up to 1080p with Deep Color. Deep Color produces a minimum of 1.07 billion colors (more than the eye can perceive) to create the smoothest, most true-to-life images you can imagine. And in Photo Mode you can make precise adjustments to the projector's color temperature and color level. With a brightness of 3000 lumens and a contrast level of 900:1 you can view this projector's images even in a fairly bright large room.
The REALiS SX80 Mark II not only displays beautiful images, it's easy to operate with its many convenience features. Turn it on and it can automatically set the focus, discover the correct input, correct for keystoning and screen color.
There's a built in USB port to present without a PC. And there's an RJ-45 (Ethernet) jack so it's network ready. You can control a whole fleet of REALiS SX80 Mark IIs using a PC over a LAN, WAN or from the other side of the world via the Internet. You can even have it email you when certain faults are discovered like a burnt out bulb.
Of course it's got a worldwide compatible power supply and NTSC, PAL and SECAM compatibility built in. When you want superior performance, as well as fast, easy, and quiet operation anywhere in the world, you want the REALiS SX80 Mark II.

Just got the projector so cannot comment on reliability of performance as yet.

Comments about Canon REALiS SX80 Mark II 3000 Lumens SXGA+ Projector:
After reviewing several projectors, the image quality of the SX80 is by far excellent. The projector was purchased for our photography business. Our business is centered around our images and the Canon SX80 projector exhibit our images as we intended them to be shown. The colors are vivid and sharp. The fan can be heard in a small room, but it is not entirely distracting. I wish the price wasn't as steep, but non-the-less it is a very good projector. I recommend this projector to anyone who value image quality.

Comments about Canon REALiS SX80 Mark II 3000 Lumens SXGA+ Projector:
I use the SX80 for photographic competitions. The Mark II is an immense improvement over the original model. It has a specific setting for photo work. The original model was much too bright and blew out highlights with little real opportunity for adjustment. The new model was perfect right out of the box.

Comments about Canon REALiS SX80 Mark II 3000 Lumens SXGA+ Projector:
I use the Cannon SX80 for multi-media presentation, replaying HD video, Keynote presentations as well as digital photo presentations. The SX80 far exceeded my expectations as to ease of use, brightness and color reproduction across a broad spectrum of applications. I feel that the Cannon Realis SX80 Mark II (though not inexpensive) a real value at the price. I would high;y recommend this projector for those that want to put some real POP in their presentations.

Comments about Canon REALiS SX80 Mark II 3000 Lumens SXGA+ Projector:
I searched a long time to find a projector that would adjust to different lighting situations. I use this projector to display photography. The built in color temp adjustment is better than my Barco. Canon support was amazing, they even put me in touch with an engineer. The projector is just about everything I wanted, but I do wish the digital zoom was not in .5X increments. Comparatively speaking I found this projector well worth the cost.
