Gefen GTV-HD-PVR GefenTV High-Def Personal Video Recorder
The GTV-HD-PVR GefenTV High-Def Personal Video Recorder from Gefen allows you to implement the functions of a traditional video-tape recorder or DVD recorder using SD flash memory devices and/or a built-in 80GB hard disk drive. Use this unit to achieve instant recording and portability with digital video and music, as well as playback of music and digital pictures.
The unit can be managed with an IR remote control. Control functions include: review, fast forward, fast backwards, pause, and erase.
Note! This device will not allow an HDCP-encrypted source to record.
- Video recording and playback is available at resolutions of 480i to 1080i
- It is possible to record to SD Flash Media or an internal hard disk drive
- Playback controls include: pause, mute, fast forward, and fast backwards
- Media scanning functions can be used to locate videos, audio files, and pictures
- Playback of externally imported videos, music, pictures is possible
- Four different quality settings are available for storage compression
- Control settings can be managed through the unit's GUI (graphical user interface)
- 2 to 10x picture zoom is available for viewing photos
- International language support is included

Simple to set up and use and does what it is intended to do very well.
It is disappointing that this unit does not have a USB port to support larger external hard drives like the standard definition unit had.
We use it for recording an external video camera on a sportfishing yacht.
