Comments about M-Audio Oxygen 25 - USB MIDI Controller:
I got this to control some synth components in Ableton Live, like Analog. I wanted to be able to play notes and change filter and effect parameters easily and this keyboard works well. It has plenty of knobs and keys to map, while being compact and light enough to carry back and forth from my studio.
I recommend this for anyone needing a controller thats not too expensive and can control filters and effects while also playing midi notes and scales.

Comments about M-Audio Oxygen 25 - USB MIDI Controller:
The Oxygen 25 is the perfect compact MIDI controller for any beginning producer. All the controls and functions feel great and allow for easy and dynamic control of the software. Before getting started , i would check out M-Audio's website and download their "Direct-Link" Technology which allows you to auto sync your record, playback, and all other programing functions on the controller with the software that you plan to use.
This is the perfect piece of equipment if you are looking for something to quickly lay down synth and drum patterns and is also great for modulating different effects and parameters of the program with the 8 knobs, pitch/mod wheels, and slider.
I feel this controller would be best for recording and not for live performance, but i don't see any reason why that couldn't work!

Comments about M-Audio Oxygen 25 - USB MIDI Controller:
I bought this keyboard as a way to control pitch bend and tempo in Logic Pro. Now, more than this, I find I quite like its small footprint and light weight so intend to take it traveling with me as an input keyboard for my computer. It plugged straight into my machine and was immediately useable with no configuration needed.

Comments about M-Audio Oxygen 25 - USB MIDI Controller:
I use Propellerhead Record primarily and all the controls work with the program without having to do any configuring. The fader controls the master volume of the instrument by default, not the track fader (like in Logic). Having the transport controls is huge. Not that it matters, but nice job on the color selection!

Comments about M-Audio Oxygen 25 - USB MIDI Controller:
I live and work on a boat, so the size is a great fit. I am using Garageband to compose music for a travel documentary series that my husband and I produce. I got the Oxygen 25 to use as a controller. It was plug and play with my GB '11 which was great, but M-Audio does not make this a totally compliant controller for GB. I can use it for master volume, but haven't figured out how the play and record buttons can be linked. I don't think they can which isn't a show stopper by any means, but would be very nice. I was concerned that it was faulty because after leaving the keyboard for a while it was not working. I found through the M-Audio site FAQ that if you have a unibody Macbook Pro it needs to use a USB hub. That fixed it and then it happened again, but this time I found out that the screen saver was kicking it out, so you have to turn it off when you walk away. Again no biggie. I am not a sound engineer so I cannot figure out all of the things this keyboard can do, but for my limited needs it works just fine. I would buy it again and M-Audio has a great user Forum where you can find all kinds of info you need on any product you buy from them. M-Audio is a great company. I have had a digital AMP and I use the fast track pro and have been very satisfied.

Comments about M-Audio Oxygen 25 - USB MIDI Controller:
If you want to compose short sequences, hip-hop samples etc, this thing will help you do that. You still need a strong array of VST's to get the max out of this controller. Keys, knobs have a good feel. Shifting in between octaves might be an overhead, but for creating good samples I dont need much range at a single point for your melody.
Comments about M-Audio Oxygen 25 - USB MIDI Controller:
Includes all the basics that function as they should.

Sturdy-feeling case, light weight, nice ergonomics. Feel of keys, wheels and buttons is good. Build is better than previous M-Audio small controllers.

under 100$,hard to beat for the price.the action on the keyboard has a good feel, plenty of controls on board to link up with your software.a great little controller for bass or horn parts.i bought it to solo on and it works well for that but its just a little short.3 octaves would be perfect but as of right now its 2 or 4 octaves(25 0r 49 keys).maybe m-audio will fill in the gap and make a 3 octave controller.if they do,ill buy it.
