Comments about MOTU Digital Performer 7 - Audio Production Software:
I am so glad I upgraded from DP5 to DP7. It works so well. Very snappy overall. Still some waveform redraw issues occasionally.
The only real problem is getting used to the new look. It was pretty horrible at first, and after several attempts at extreme customization, I simply changed a few elements and it's fine. First, forget all the colors, it just doesn't work anymore. If you get the color of a track right, the waveform will be wrong. So just turn it off. It's easy to swap png files for each theme, so I just took some fade knobs from one, and some other bits here and there to make a them that was clear and easy to navigate.
The new plugins are decent, though I disabled all of them, as decent simply isn't good enough for me. Thankfully, it's easy to re-enable them should I require something.
All and all, a very worthwhile upgrade.

Alway loved rock solid Performer from the early days. Getting better with age.
