Got this for my Lenovo X201. Drive came with 1819 firmware. Had some issue updating the firmware but a quick call to Crucial Tech Support helped resolved it (drive must be connect in IDE mode and not AHCI to update firmware). Flashed firmware to 1916. Everything seems to be working great.

              Comments about Crucial Technology 128GB M225 2.5" Solid-State Drive:

I have been running this SSD drive for about 3 months, and so far zero problem had I encountered! I must admit that the cost of the baby ([$] when I bought it) was a little pricey, but you will find it all worth it after seeing its performance. If you are running a 64 bit system like mine, there will be lots of joy awaiting for you. If you happen to be running some huge memory required software like photoshop CS 4, Solidworks 2010, LabVIEW 2009, MAYA 2010, and so forth, you will be blessed with this SSD. Last but not least, I highly recommend this SSD!

              Comments about Crucial Technology 128GB M225 2.5" Solid-State Drive:

I purchased this drive about a month and a half ago for a new Apple MacBook Pro laptop, and it has worked beautifully. I selected this drive because of its consistent performance for the price - some of the cheaper drives (like from Kingston) have read and write times that vary widely over time; the M225 has a pretty straight line on its graph, meaning that performance doesn't degrade if you're reading or writing from it for an extended amount of time.

Yes, SSDs are still significantly more expensive than disk drives, but they're worth it if you don't need super high capacity. B&H had the best price I could find by a wide margin! The drive is absolutely silent, significantly extended my battery life, and is wicked fast - my system boots up in seconds, and programs launch almost instantaneously. It truly must be experienced to believe it.

About the only complaint I have is somewhat flimsy construction. The housing is silver plastic, not metal like the 256GB version of the drive, though this does make the drive quite a bit lighter than the metal one. To install this in my laptop I had to insert small "extender" screws in the corners, and the plastic screw hole (the threaded part) actually separated from the surrounding bezel on two corners. It was like there was something behind the hole that was blocking the screw slightly, even after trying to grind away extra plastic with a sharp tool. Make sure you get the screw in absolutely straight, and don't use too much force when you screw it in! If installing in a laptop, you can put a plastic spacer under the drive if you are unable to get any of the screws in, just to keep it from bouncing around inside. I may have just gotten a "bad" unit, and this doesn't affect the drive's performance or overall durability in any way. Now that it's installed and secure, I don't have to worry about damaging the drive if the laptop takes a tumble!

You certainly can't beat Crucial's excellent 5 year warranty if you do have a problem.

It's a wicked fast upgrade to any existing system using a 2.5" SATA drive. Gets a Windows Experience index of 7.1 for me.

No problems getting it to boot. It's a solid, once piece unit.
