Thanks to the triple capsule array, the Yeti offers 4 different selectable pickup patterns; Stereo, Cardioid Mono, Omnidirectional, and Figure-8. This allows you to select the perfect pickup pattern for your recording needs. The mic features a USB connection for plug-and-play compatibility with Macs and PCs, with no need for extra drivers. It offers an adjustable mic gain control and mute button, as well as a high-quality headphone amplifier with a volume control for direct monitoring.

I was wanting to do some amateur recording of music at home, But didn't want to spend too much money. I spent a lot of time researching different mics and finally came to this one. It's packed with features from the 4 mic pattern and mic gain control right from the mic. I also love how it has it's own on board headphone amp. I use a pair of Denon HP-700. I can also adjust the volume straight from the mic. Can't praise it anymore. The setting up and using of the mic was also very simple and straight forward. In this price range I don't see any better USB mics on the market. B&H were so simple and easy to deal with too. Makes the whole experience very enjoyable. Only negative I could say with the Mic, is its bulkiness, But with all the features its packing and the price, Believe me, It's not a concern of mine, plus it folds down for easy moving/storage.
