The CV-9160SDI Digital Multiformat SD/HD-SDI Professional Generator from Compuvideo features (2) SD/HD-SDI outputs that can be used for broadcast-quality, color-bar generation. The unit features (9) direct-function controls with memory. It can be powered with AC/DC power or via an internal 9V battery.
Even during non-stop operation, this unit is designed to generate minimal heat. It has also been designed to withstand the rigors and abuses to which portable equipment is often subjected. Features such as side-panel placement of controls and strategically positioned boards and connectors are designed to withstand frequent field use.

This item just outputs simple bars. Sure it does it in HD, but I can have a freeze frame do that. I am not impressed nor enamored with this device. I not think for a second that this item was worth any of the money I paid for it. The best use for it now is to test cables. To boot, the design of the front panel is adhesive based. In any type of use, the front is bound to fall off within a few years.
