Hewlett Packard's Photosmart Premium TouchSmart Web Printer is a technologically advanced device that copies, scans, faxes, and prints documents. Functions are controlled by the 4.3" TouchSmart customizable touch-screen that makes it easy to edit, print photos, send faxes, scan photos for reprints, make copies and print from the web without a PC. With the TouchSmart Web control panel and the Quick Forms option, access to printable web content such as forms, templates coupons, maps, coloring pages, and even notebook paper is easily obtained. Furthermore, the TouchSmart screen can be customized with your favorite applications by touching the "Get More" option.
The Photosmart Premium TouchSmart Web Printer has a wireless 802.11n interface that enables sharing the device between multiple computers and built-in memory card slots, PictBridge, USB, Bluetooth and Ethernet interfaces to enable PC-free operations. It also comes with a 100-sheet input and a 20-sheet photo tray to keep workflows moving. It can print a 4 x 6" photo with speeds up to 16 seconds at resolutions up to 9600 x 2400dpi (optimized). I gave my printer only 3 stars, solely based on the set-up process. The printing is great, as usual. Since I just started using it yesterday, I haven't had a chance to use all the web aspects but they do look neat.
I am no techie, but I have been purchasing HP printers since forever. I have always enjoyed the product - its quality printing and the ease of set-up and use. However, I had to talk with HP several times to get this printer going. I had it hard wired to my desktop - no problem. But I could not get my laptop to interact with the printer wirelessly. Turns out it was a simple fix, but it took me all day!! I was using the USB and the ethernet cables - use only the ethernet for wireless!!!! The instructions that came with the unit were VERY simplistic - more detail would have been useful. There was no owner's manual, just a basic set-up diagram and the set-up wizard on the unit itself.
Bottom line - had I not spent ALL day dealing with the printer, I would have been much happier writing this review and it would have received 5 stars!!!

We were looking for a printer to connect wirelessly with both our pc's and mac mini. This is the one! Touch screen is easy to use. Easily sends and receives faxes. It is a bit noisy and somewhat slow to boot up and shut down, but these are not deal breakers for me. The only thing I dislike is that the regular ink cartridges run out very quickly. I am trying out the extended ink cartridges.

Makes great color photos directly from my mobile phone. Wonderful way to send e-mail attachments without all the wires to the computer. Makes double sided printouts which saves paper. All in all, I am more than happy with this product and would definitely recommend it.

This is an excellent printer with both outstanding photo and text quality.
At first I had thought that not having an automatic paper loader tray would be a problem, or a deficiency, but then found it not the case. Besides, the HP model that has the loader seems rather flimsy and probably not up to the task of long-term and accurate loading.

Bought this for use at home. Love the print quality both text and photos. Easy to install and easy to operate. Just as with my last HP printer, however, the product updates don't download well and all of the special HP "customer service" programs take up tons of memory - some of it for stuff I just don't need (Shop for HP supplies).

I use the printer at home primarily for personal items and pictures. I like the three color cart's and the addition of the black-photo cart. I normally fill my own carts and will give the 564's a shot soon.
I've networked the printer and it came up first try.
The first picture I printed 4x6 was absolutely amazing in color and clarity.
The text print couldn't be any better, the copy feature does very well though a sheet feeder would be helpful for multi-sheet copy or FAX.
I'm new at using the printer and need to figure out how to print 8x10 photos of natural sceens, animals and flowers. O therewise for the price I could not ask HP for more.

excellent wireless connection, both Mac / XP picked up the printer. Scanner is not bad - if you want fine scanning of photos, look elsewhere. Regular photocopier/text scanner is just fine. you don't need a computer, directly connects to the web and prints - really cool feature. Not sure if pro or con but it requires 6 print heads (two of which are black).
