I actually purchased 1 of these for each of my lenses and I must say that I am impressed. I also added a Circular Polarizing Lens on my main lens for shooting cloud pictures. These UV Filters are inexpensive and a lens-saver. I highly recommend putting these on every lens you own to protect the lens from scratches while giving you clearer pictures!

I got one for 58mm and it fits perfect but this one that I got (67mm) somehow doesn't really fit well. It fits ok on the lens but the lens cap doesn't fit well on it. For the 58mm the lens cap just snaps onto the filter. However, for the 67mm the lens cap doesn't really want to stay on. I need to force it (push hard) to make it stay on my lens. I would recommend to try some other brands.

It's clear! What else can I say. The front threads of the filter protrude enough for my lens cap to grip onto. This is a good thing!

Had this item on the lens for about a month. During that time I had no issues with it. A 3 ft drop onto hardwood shattered the filter and didn't do much to protect the lens.

Attached to my new EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM Lens, I use this filter to shoot outdoor portraits and Macro. It's use also protects the lens from full impact in case anything should happen! It's better to break a filter and have the lens in tact and yes, I've bent over and bashed my 77m 70-200 pretty good whilst hopping over a fence to escape from a watch dog I was shooting. The Filter was broken but the lens was unharmed. The warmth of the filter brings a truly brilliant color to the front line of the workflow, allowing you one less step of saturation in post production. Nice to have this for protection and warmth added to every shot!

Meant to use it as a general protection for the front element. Does cause ghosting in low light situations ( I know its not meant for low light situations. I'm too lazy to take it off)

I use this on my Tamron 17-50 2.8 and the glass on the filter looks nice, helps with the glare and lack of color in intense sunlight and is a cheap, yet high quality basic filter.

Comments about Hoya 67mm Ultraviolet UV (C) Haze Multicoated Filter:
I purchased this filter for my new macro lens that I purchased from B & H. I was taught to always use a UV filter or skylight filter to protect your camera lens. So, whenever I purchase a new lens I always purchase a UV filter at the same time to fit that particular lens. I favor the Hoya product. I love the reasonable price of the Hoya filters while at the same time I am getting a great product. My pictures always turn out better with the filters, too.

Comments about Hoya 67mm Ultraviolet UV (C) Haze Multicoated Filter:
I am not sure of the cause. The camera was in a padded case and did not suffer an impact or temperature change. I removed my Nikon D90 from the case to take a shot and I could hear the glass under the lens cap. The filter completely shattered and scratched the camera lens that the filter was supposed to protect.

Courier managed to lose the envelope, and when it arrived it looked like it had been run over, but the filter was fine anyway thanks to its protective packaging.
