With its built-in hard disk drive and multi-format DVD capabilities, the LG RH299H 400GB Multi-System HDD/DVD Recorder offers tremendous versatility that will simplify your video recording tasks. The LG recorder is compatible with PAL/SECAM and NTSC systems, and features 1080p HD upconversion through HDMI, progressive scan, USB port, and DV input. It can record to DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD+R(DL), and DVD-RAM discs, and play discs in the DVD, VCD, SVCD, CD, and CD-R/CD-RW formats.

In addition to playing DVDs in spectacular high definition, the RH299 lets you control the action through its full-function remote control. The unit is capable of frame-by-frame and slow-motion playback, as well as a zoom function that lets you take a closer look at the images on screen. On the audio side, the recorder easily handles playback of commercial CDs as well as those recorded in the MP3 and WMA formats. The LG also serves as a great photo viewer, playing JPEG images either singly or in slideshows. The built-in USB port also can be used to play MP3, WMA, and JPEG files.

The recorder comes with a complete set of inputs and outputs for all of your entertainment devices, Simplink (HDMI-CEC) capability for unified control of the RH299H with a compatible TV remote, and a graphical interface that makes it a snap to operate the recorder's many functions.
