This compact bullhorn is loud enough to make yourself heard a few hundred yards away. If you crank the volume up too high then it is prone to feedback though.
The buttons are placed on the back just underneath the microphone, a pistol trigger would have been more convenient. Besides the on/off button, there is a siren (which will get attention) and a "music" button (which produces a very gimmicky and irritating post-card type melody) which could have left off.
It has a plastic look, but appears to be sturdy enough (it's made out of impact-resistant ABS). The handle folds flat, and a lanyard is included.
Don't expect a high-end megaphone for the price, but if you need occasional amplification this might save your voice; no need to shout anymore. It produces a clear sound that is easy to understand (yet it still sounds like a traditional bullhorn if you're after that "sound", e.g. as a stage prop).

It works great but the clip that holds the batteries in place does not work well. Ducktape fixed it.

I bought this megaphone as a prop for a photo shoot. It was classic in design and worked like a charm. Was really surprised to get such a great item considering how inexpensive it is. Loud too!

I bought this megaphone to help coordinate a July 4th party we had. It worked really well, especially the siren sound which was used to get everyone's attention.
The weight and size are perfect for carrying around. The sound is great for the size and price.
Unfortunately the arm strap ended up breaking but it wasn't used very much anyway.

We live on a huge lakefront lot and have problems talking to people on the beach. This little unit has solved that problem for sure.
We love it.

Comments about Pyle Pro PMP30 Professional Megaphone / Bullhorn with Siren:
The Pyle-Pro PMP30 is so user friendly. One does not even have to read the manual to operate the unit correctly. The controls are easy to locate and self explanatory.
The great thing about this bullhorn is that its got power at a small sized design. It uses Size D batteries which are readily available and reasonably quite long lasting.
I think what is missing is the normal pistol grip switch which is found in other bullhorns.
