This is a pretty good gear bag for the price. It was however advertised as being able to fit 1 camera+lens and 2 extra lenses. It comes with a large space in the middle for your SLR, and dividers on either side for lenses. I suppose if you were using an entry level SLR, this would be enough space, but I have a hard time believing that even a D80 or D90 would comfortably fit with a lens on either side. I use a D200 with a battery pack, and even without the pack attached, it's a tight squeeze.
Fortunately Lowepro planned for just such a situation, and I was able to remove one of the dividers, move the other over and can now comfortably store the D200, with pack and lens attached in the big compartment, with two primes stashed to the side in lens cases, or one lens without one. There's not much auxiliary storage space for filters, extra batteries, etc, but the small compartment on the outside is well designed and stretches a bit for bulkier stuff.
The construction of the bag is what you'd expect, with thick, bright orange pads covering every bit of the bag that gives a little peace of mind should your gear get knocked around a little. My only complaint about the build are the cheap, plastic "d-clip" style strap loops on the bag, and the generally cheap and poor quality of the strap. They do put a little strip of neoprene near your neck so it doesn't slip around, but it completely lacks any sort of padding on the cheap nylon strap, so it's not something you want to lug around your neck for two hours or even more than a few minutes. Not a bad bag for the price, but I will probably replace the strap with something that less resembles a hangman's noose.

Comments about Lowepro Adventura 170 Shoulder Bag:
I've been using Lowepro bags for many years now, and this one shows the excellent quality of construction I've come to expect from them. My one caveat is that it needs more small pockets, either inside the bag or lid, or outside and zippered. I prefer more organizational options than just piling the filters and other small extras up in one of the lens pockets.

Comments about Lowepro Adventura 170 Shoulder Bag:
Enough room for a Nikon D3100 with a 18-55mm lens and a 55-200mm telephoto lens. Light enough to comfortably carry yet it provides good gear protection. The latched rain flap over the zippered main pocket should keep the equipment dry.
As a pack rat I wish that the outer zipper pocket were gusseted to give more storage room.

Comments about Lowepro Adventura 170 Shoulder Bag:
First of all this bag is fairly small. It can be a good thing for traveling lightly with a couple lens. If you are looking for a bag to carry all your lenses, this is not the bag. I have the 5D Mark II and wanted a very small bag to carry the camera with a 17-40mm lens attached and possibly one small prime. For this purpose it is perfect. The 5D fits perfectly in the bag with some space on the side for a flash or a small to medium prime. You can also lay it down and it fits nicely. I was also able to fit the 5D with 17-40mm attached and the 70-200mm 2.8 non IS (both without the hoods)but the fit was very tight. If you have a small DSLR, you will be able to fit the camera with a medium zoom lens attached and something as big as the 70-200mm 2.8. The bag itself is well padded and well built. The strap is a little cheap but you can always attach your own.

I use it with my canon 60d + 50 mm canon lens + 18-135mm zoom lens + 0.43 Polaroid wide angle adapter + extra battery + all the cables + mini tripod + battery charger, everything is safe in there. It´s perfect. What else can you expect from a [$] camera bag? [$]!!!

Comments about Lowepro Adventura 170 Shoulder Bag:
I'm loving this bag. I bought it because I had just bought a new lens for my camera and my old case was too small. This one holds my camera, two lens, and quite a bit of extra gear. The construction is really sturdy and the camera is easily accessible for taking pictures on the go! A great buy, I highly reccommend!

I have a Nikon D5100 and it doesn't fit properly to prevent damages, especially for the lenses. I adapted adding some materials that helps to better fit them. Good bag for a very good price!

Comments about Lowepro Adventura 170 Shoulder Bag:
This is an awesome bag. It holds a small DSLR and two lenses just fine (with room to spare)! I spent a lot of time looking at bags and I have a lot of experience with Lowepro's Nova bags. The only thing I miss from the nova bags is the rain cover, but outside of that I LOVE THIS BAG. Highly recommended! The strap could be a little better, but is definitely livable

I love the Adventura 170 Shoulder Bag! It is the perfect size for my new Canon EOS Rebel T3 with
the EFS 18-55 mm lens that comes with it and an extra Canon 75-300 mm zoom lens. It is generously padded to protect my equipment and is easily portable and compact. I plan on carrying it with me on my travel adventures to the San Rafael Rain Forest Preserve in Paraguay and to Patagonia as I travel through South America.

Comments about Lowepro Adventura 170 Shoulder Bag:
I couldnt have find a better bag. Its a perfect match for my stuff:
1: T3i with 18-55mm lens attached
2: Additional 55-250mm Lens
3: 430II Canon Flash
Plus you can carry the manual and memory card in additional zipped pocket.
The only drawback is the side pockets...never rely on them for valuables like lenses.
If you have the above stuff as me and looking for a bag, go and buy it right away. You wont be disappoined. & B&H Prices are extremely competetive. Plus you get their exceptional after sales support.

You really get alot of bag for a little price. Perfect most photographers. My only grips is that Lowepro insists on making bags that scream "steal me". This bag will let everyone know you have a DSLR.

I use this bag as storage for:
- Canon 40D with a 100mm lens attached
- Canon 10-22mm
- Canon 430EXII
It's good enough for someone new to photography. If you have more equipment, you will need a bigger bag.
