Trendnet Wireless N Gaming Adapter
The Wireless N Gaming Adapter from TRENDnet is a wireless Ethernet bridge, designed for use with popular game consoles. Playing games online is more popular than ever, but most game consoles only feature a wired Ethernet port for network connectivity. This requires you to run a long Ethernet cable to your router for network connectivity. This device plugs directly into your Wii, Xbox, Xbox360, PS2, or PS3 and converts the Ethernet port into a high-speed 802.11n Wi-Fi device.
The Gaming Adapter uses advanced Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) antenna technology to reduce the amount of dead spots in Wi-Fi coverage. One hint - connect the power cord to the switched outlet of the receiver. If left on, it will loose it's connection and not be able to connect unless restarted.

I purchased this product as an alternative to the xbox 360 wireless adapter because it was half the price and it could also work with my PS3.
I will admit, the set up is incredibly easy, and it does a great job of connecting me to xbox live and the playstation network.
That's almost all it does. I've tried playing games on xbox live, and the connection is just strong enough for me to play, but cuts in and out, causing my player to spawn randomly across the map, go for full minutes at a time without seeing another player, or just die (seemingly) randomly.
I gave this product 3 stars mostly because I realize that a large portion of the problem could be my less than perfect wireless reception (but to be fair, I get at least 4 bars with my laptop).
I've heard great things about this product from other people, and it works great if you want to download anything off of xbox live/playstation network, but when it comes to actual gameplay with a less than perfect wireless signal, I'm less than impressed, and more than aggrivated.
Still, it's great for the price. Certainly worth considering.

Great for hooking my xbox 360 up to wifi. Download speeds a little slow but gameplay more or less unaffected. Setup not easy if you don't have a WPS router or if you are using a 13 digit WEP key (instead of 26), but made it work after 5-10 tries.

Using this product solely for PS3 gaming. Really bumps up the transmission speeds. Smaller than expected (not a bad thing). Status lights are bright, but with some common sense placement or use of black tape (as someone else mentioned), this is not an issue. CAT V cable provide is very short so you may need a longer cable if you are trying to get better coverage/reception.

I bought a Samsung UN55D6000, a smartTV product without wireless!!! to buy a Samsung wireless adapter separately is like 1xx dollars (i am in Canada) . i don't think that price make any sense. so I looked around and found several network products that can serve the same purpose.
I chose Trendnet because i only need one wired connection and this is the best price i can get in the same type of products. I also have had a Trendnet wireless router (a very older model, been used for 5 years and never have a problem) so i know how to configure it in general.
the configuration of this new item is quite simple. I did have an issue during configuration, it appears it did not save the setting. I did it again then it worked. after that, it never stopped working.

I purchased this gaming adapter to connect to a fish tank automation system (Apex Aquacontroller). It works perfectly for my needs. I did need to update the firmware on the device due to a signal drop that occurred after 8 hours of use. Once the firmware updates were made, the device has remained on the network without issue. You cannot beat this price and I would recommend this to friends....just be sure to update the firmware.

Great product. Works as advertized. I have it plugged into my Sony Blue Ray changer for downloading Gracenote information. It has a small footprint so it doesn't stand out on the entertainment center.
The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because setup did not go as advertized. I tried doing it the way the product guide instructed. But for whatever reason it would not connect to my Wifi WPA2-PSK(AES) network. I ended up going into the router's browser page and manually looking for my network and entering the key that way. After that it worked fine.
I highly recommend this product. But if you're not computer saavy, get a friend that is to help you out setting it up.

I use this adapter to connect my TiVo Premier to my wireless net. It's perfect for that function. The only issue I had was the setup. I downloaded the setup program from Trendnet's web site and it was able to talk to the unit to get it basically set up. Then you need to actually connect to it via it's IP address to actually check it's connection speed, signal strength etc. Plus if you want full speed you have to set 20/40 channel bandwidth.
It's hard to get it to connect and you have to understand network protocol, but once it's set up it just ticks along flawlessly.
I subtracted one point for how difficult it is to set up.

I'm using this to stream wireless content to my Sony Blu-Ray player and it works good for me. I have some issues with my router at the present but they were there before connecting this device so I can't complain about it. Easy inexpensive way to do this....much better than paying the $80 for the Linksys unit recommended by Sony.

I have ordered three of these adapters. Two at my house and one at my fathers. Out of the two that I have, one had a hard time staying connected. I finally realized that upgrading to the latest firmware, then connecting to the computer via ethernet, then doing a hard reset fixed it to where I could power the unit off and move it. My father's on the other hand, was a bit more trickier as I had to hard wire the unit to set it up (as specified) and then transfer it to the DVD player without powering it down. If I did not do it this way, the settings would reset to the default SSID if the power was disconnected.

Setup was easy enough. Using this to connect my Xbox 360 and Blueray to the internet. Wanted Wireless N to stream Netflix in HD. Well, that happens - about 30% of the time. The rest of the time, the speed fluctuates way too much to keep up the HD stream. Xbox Live drops out at least once a day, and I have to reset the adapter once every 2 days.
I have upgraded the firmware, but this didn't help. I have run cox cable speed tests 3 or 4 times a day and results are all over the place (from slow to fast and back again) Adapter is only one room and about 35 feet away from Cisco Router. Modem works fine.
What a waste of money.
My advice: spend a little extra and buy a Buffalo.
You get what you pay for.
