The Bamboo Fun from Wacom is a USB digital tablet that combines advanced Multi-Touch input with that of a traditional digital pen. It fully supports Multi-Touch gestures, including gestures and finger taps, over a large portion of its active area. As the tablet is larger than trackpads found on most laptops, it is both comfortable and natural to use. You can use your fingers to move about your desktop, scroll through documents, navigate the web, zoom in and out of photos, and rotate images.
For more precise applications, such as image editing, the included pressure-sensitive pen is available for use. You can use it to edit photos, create personal greetings, make sketches, and mark up documents in your own handwriting. The pen supports 1024 pressure levels for precise control, and is accurate to ±0.02 inches.
Users who have not used a tablet before will appreciate the included tutorial, which teaches you how to use simple hand gestures to move around your desktop, make selections, and complete other computing tasks. The tablet features four ExpressKeys, which can be customized to suit your needs. It is reversible, allowing right-handed and left-handed users to use the tablet with equal comfort.
The Bamboo is compatible with PC or Mac systems with USB. An extensive software bundle is included: Adobe Photoshop Elements 7.0 for Windows, Adobe Photoshop Elements 6.0 for Mac, Corel Painter Essentials 4.0 for Mac and Windows, and Nik Color Efex Pro 3.0 WE3 for Mac and Windows. It also includes an offer for a free photo album from Shutterfly, as well as a free online store from Café Press.

My husband brought me this as a gift after hearing I wanted one, I am into digital scrap-booking and photo-shop work. I had an older Wacom that did not have the touch features. The bamboo is classy and fun, it is beautiful presented and simple to use, I am a Mac user and it integrates seamlessly for many mac programs. I find it as easy to use for simple photo edits as using my ipod touchI love the ease of use and how much freedom of creativity it gives me its fells natural to move between the touch and pen use while in pretty much all programs. I now draw up my own papers and elements for scrap-booking as well as sharing with others, i can also get a scrapbook page or photo edit done in about half the time as it is super easy to switch from touch to pen (i don't even have to put the pen down for most things). The only complaint I have is that it can get a bit sensitive when using the pen, as in toggle the touch off while using the pen or else your drawing goes decidedly weird. Not really a big problem and one I am sure will improve as I become more attuned to the tablets touch function. Also it is quite big, not a real complaint i know as it has a great touch/ input area but i cant fit it on the slide out drawer for my keyboard as well as my keyboard, so i need to reconfigure my desk a bit to find it a permanent home. It is however nice and light and would fit easily into my laptop bag if i wanted to take it out with me.I was so amazed by the natural and intuitive touch functions i think i killed my husbands eras for the first few days with "how cool" and "Sweet!".All in all i love it, it is a great design, the fun has a large area for drawing. You are highly unlikely to be sorry if you purchase this or any other Wacom product they are very nice.B & H were fast and efficient and had the Fun at a great price (according to my husband), we have bought all our photo gear from here and like their efficiencywacom just released a new minis (think wigits) program today for the bamboo i look forward to seeing what that can do

Fun is the key word here.
I did some actual good stuff with it. The accuracy is enough. Seemed rugged enough. Real good size for on the desktop in Photoshop or held in ones lap while in ArtRage.

I did some actual good stuff with it. The accuracy is enough. Seemed rugged enough. Real good size for on the desktop in Photoshop or held in ones lap while in ArtRage.
But a total of six buttons just doesn't cut it. There is a pop up list you can build but then you have to read the virticle list where ever the curser is at. Foe a hundred extra buck I would rather use radial pop out list and have eight labled and program specific buttons layouts. Two more problems, no tilt sensing and the cord is only 3 feet long.
And the there is the muti-touch. It works but is very rough implementation even with the latest drivers. even with repeated; I believe patient tries; I too ended up turning it off entirely.
Is it fun? YOU BET! For grandma or grand child to mess about in it would be just right. Just not for someone making money.

Comments about Wacom Bamboo Fun Digital Tablet:
I've been wanting one of these tablets for years and finally have one. There's a bit of a learning curve but with practice my workflow has already become easier. Working with final cut and photoshop in film and graphics you need to get one of these. I know there are better models, more expensive on the market but for a beginner this one is very good for the price.

Comments about Wacom Bamboo Fun Digital Tablet:
I have been incredibly happy with my Wacom Bamboo Fun Tablet. The software and drivers for the tablet are incredibly easy to install, with easy step by step instructions. The programs that come on the disc with the tablet are also easy to use, and yet the more you learn about them the more you can do with them and the more intricate the programs become. The programs and the way that the tablet enhances them are great for a beginner or a real designer. Overall, I am very pleased with everything. The tablet is easy enough to use that you get hooked to learn more about it and get better to do more fantastic designs!!

this is my first tablet and my first steps into digital art. so far i tried it with corel paint and sbp 2011 and it works much better with sbp2011. there is a delay in corel paint. also putpen sensitivity on softer side, mine was in the middle and after drawing for couple days the tip of the pen got smaller.

Comments about Wacom Bamboo Fun Digital Tablet:
The Bamboo Fun Pen and Touch Tablet is a great beginning tablet for anyone who wants to get into digital art without spending the money required for a professional level tablet. While it does not provide quite the same sensitivity as the Intuos 3 tablet (which I own) it's MORE than adequate to learn and grow with. If you're really serious about digital art, or plan to get into illustrating or graphic design, you'll probably want to upgrade at some point, but this is a very good, relatively inexpensive way to find out what's possible and where you want to go with it.

Comments about Wacom Bamboo Fun Digital Tablet:
I picked up the Bamboo Fun for work on photo editing. I'm still pretty new to photo editing through Photoshop, but the control I have over the 'fine details' with the pad/pen makes it so much easier than using the mouse that I couldn't imagine not having it.
It took a little getting used to, but it's not a steep learning curve by any means. And, the directions and tutorial that came with it made it possible to start using right away.
I'm glad I got it, and the price made it even more attractive to me.
A worthwhile purchase, in my opinion.

Comments about Wacom Bamboo Fun Digital Tablet:
I use the Bamboo Fun for all my computing but bought it primarily for photographic work in Aperture 3. It's a full featured tablet at a consumer price and works flawlessly. The pressure nib does wear down but after continuous use you can learn to use a lighter touch. The programmable hot keys are great for continuous tasks at the touch of a button.

Comments about Wacom Bamboo Fun Digital Tablet:
Yes, don't let the price of this tablet fool you. It has a lot of bang for the buck! I have used other Wacom tablets in the past, but find this tablet to be easy to use and very cost effective for a smaller budget. With its ease of use, good control and lightweight characteristics, it is good for the professional graphics artist as well as the novice. I definitely would tell a friend about this tablet.

I had never used a tablet before this one. It took me a little while to get used to it, since I have always used a mouse, but now that I have I will not go back to a mouse.
The Wacom Bamboo tablet was easy to install and using it in Photoshop has made my work easier and more enjoyable.

I just got this tablet and after two days of using it I already wonder why I did not get this before. So easy to use, and fun too. Also the fact that it works as a pad and lets you use your fingers gives it a completely new dimension for me.

I already own the Cintiq 12wx and I bought the bamboo fun for my wife to use digitizing designs.
It was a breeze to set up and use. I wish Wacom would come out with wireless tablets then it would be perfect. I honestly don't know which I like better?
Great price and great product.

I'm moving from mouse to Tablets to work in photoshop, Lightroom and normal web use.
Just can't believe why I didn'd do that before.
I'm still adapting bud I'm already better than using a mouse!
I really wished a Intuos, bud it's way too expensive for a first try.
Maybe next year.
BTW, I really don't use the multi touch gestures. Just programmed the pen buttons to do faster.
The only con is I think it's too big for my 23" monitor. Bud I've tested the small bamboo and it was too small. Oh man...

Comments about Wacom Bamboo Fun Digital Tablet:
For the price, this is a great tool. I got this for two reasons: one, I have "tennis" elbow from using the mouse too much, so I use this for regular computer interface (web, word processing, etc.) and two, it makes all kinds of photo retouching and graphic editing easier and more fun (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). It's not as fancy as the more expensive models, but I love Wacom and this gets the job done for me. My kids love it too and one day it will be theirs. My only wish is that it was wireless.

Comments about Wacom Bamboo Fun Digital Tablet:
I have only used the Bamboo Tablet a couple of times, but it is much easier to edit photos in Photoshop using the tablet than it is a mouse. The Bamboo has a large active area and the pen works great!
I still use the mouse for typical navigation around the computer screen, but for detailed editing, I find that the pen and tablet allow me much better control of where the curser is going.

Comments about Wacom Bamboo Fun Digital Tablet:
I recently had to convert some photos into line drawings and had not used a digital tablet for a number of years. This Bamboo Tablet is thin, compact, nicely designed and interfaced with my PC through the usb port. The software that came with worked well to get me where I needed to go.
If you haven't used a tablet in a while, give this one, the biggest available before you start paying big bucks, a try.
