The 16TB PRO RX g2 Hard Drive Array from Dulce Systems is a high-performance hard drive array that boasts impressive 20Gbps PCI Express performance. A PCI Express x8 host card, compatible with Windows and Mac computer systems, is included. The 16-disk array is housed in a 3U rackmount chassis, and can be configured as a RAID 0, 1, 3, 5, or 6.
Thanks to a 20Gbps maximum throughput, the array is capable of transferring data at extremely fast speeds: up to 800MB/sec in RAID 0 mode and up to 750MB/sec in RAID 5 mode. Most importantly, performance does not suffer when the drive begins to reach maximum capacity: there is virtually no drop-off in transfer rates until after a disk is more than 90% full. The array is more than capable of playing back multiple simultaneous streams of many varieties of HD video.
A web-based GUI RAID Console application allows you to manage your array with ease. You can configure RAID mode, set up e-mail notification, view the event logs, and monitor the array's temperature, all from the comfort of your favorite web browser.
The array connects to the controller card via a strong and secure cable, 1 meter in length. If you find yourself in want of additional storage space, you'll be happy to know that you can use Dulce's PRO EX expansion chassis to host up to 7 PRO RX systems -- up to 112TB of storage. You can daisy-chain multiple PRO EX units together for even more storage capacity.
